I usually put all the kitties toys in the basket at night because they enjoy fishing them out and strewning them throughout the house at night. ;)

When I walked into the office this morning, there were dead micies all over the place. THE HORROR OF IT ALL! They didn't even stand a chance.....

I think I may have saved this one just in time! Poor thing. Never did nothing to nobody.

I'm not sure who the culprit(s) are/is. All I know is that every kitty was supposedly "sound" asleep last night. UH HUH!

Callie looks so guilty, hiding her face!

We know Whisper has an obsession with mice!

Look at the teeth on that girl (Shadow)!

WHO COULD HAVE DONE THIS? :p

ROFLOL!!!! That's how many mice end up here. This house is a furry mice graveyard.

The first thing Jazz does is chew off their tails and then pull out those pink felt ears. Poor little mousies. :(

where did you go wrong?? Did you feed them too high-quality food?? Well done for saving some of those micies. I cant give my cats mouse toys. My Mum is terrified of mice. Im terrified of mosquitos and spiders.

Hmm, looks like the usual 'graveyard' around here, too. So many little mousies have given their furry lives for the entertainment of our furkids.

Archy has always been a 'mouser'. Binky, not so much; he prefers toys with 'tufts' on them. However, when one of Archy's mice had little feathers on the end, he suddenly was extremely interested and has been playing like a kitten!

I doubt if you will nab the culprit...looks like a 'gang' effort to me!

Well I know Callie is usually the tail eater. Tails never last around here for too long.

Whisper is the one who probably dragged them all out of the basket as he is the friskiest when it comes to toys.

Shadow probably had nothing to do with it. She's WAY too dignified for that, but who knows. :)

Hmm... this sounds like a job for the world famous A&P Investigators! They will get to the bottom of this. Meanwhile fellow kitties, DO NOT talk to ANYONE about this and answer no questions. Remember that you are innocent until proven guilty! Unfortunately these are very serious allegations. If you wish, you can refer all questions to me. Do not say anything and do not sign anything! I'm ready and available to help you. Feel free to contact me for help at anytime.

That tails are the first to go here too, I'm afraid! Oh the shame!

Groucho,

We appreciate your advice! WE are keeping our mouths shut about this; our Meowmie keeps asking us who did it but she gets no more than a meow in answer. We will contact you shortly.

Sincerely,

Mice NEVER last long here. With Millie, the tails are the first to go. With Cleo or Abby, the eyes and noses get pulled off first. It only takes a day before they resemble lumps of fur and not mice!

LOL It looks like some of the victims were the mice that Sunny just sent to Callie. :) Mice don't last long here either. They only way they last is if they've been lost under the couch or refrigerator. Even then, their tails have been eaten off and sometimes their little bodies have been split down the middle. The horror of it all.

AbbyMom, I remember that poem very well! Back in the '70s, I had a collection of Kliban posters and that poem was on one of them, which had to be my favorite.

I also have a Kliban sweatshirt (circa 1988) that I will NEVER give up! :D

Guess those guys have been reading Kliban.......... :D

How funny! :D :D That happens here at our house, too. I think the kitties are just doing waht kitties do. I hope they would recognize a real mouse but I think they would either run away or play with it.
