Keegan has hurt her good (left) leg. I am not entirely sure what she did - I suppose its possible she tore that ACL also. She is putting little weight on it and the added weight on her bad (right) hip and healing ACL tear is a lot for that side to bear. I just dissolved into tears on the floor beside her. (3 hours of sleep since yesterday at 630pm will do that to you also) She just licked my tears away. She likes to go out and lay in the snow - I imagine the cold feels good. I am calling the vet tomorrow to see if they can get her in. She won't lay on any type of rug or bed so she is just laying on the floor. I took her to the park on Friday and that is when she originally hurt it. Then after resting yesterday she was doing pretty good - then just this evening she did something else - I don't know what - now she is limping badly.
I just want my little girl back. :(

Poor Keegan!!! It can't be fun being young and having so much energy, and a body that just won't cooperate!!! Hope your leg heals up quick. Time to put those tennis balls up for a bit and rest up!!

You don't have any indoor water therapy places near you, by chance? We have one here in Toledo, and seems like something like that would be good for. Let her build some strength, and wear her out, without the strain. ( I also have never been in one, and have no idea of the cost!!)

:( :( :( Oh Keegan, you poor girl!!!!
We'll keep paws crossed & send healing vibes that beautiful sweet Keegan will be alright! Are hip problems common in Goldens? I just saw Baby (also a golden) at the dogpark, he's had all kinds of hip problems, now he's recovering from having hip surgery, too. He kept lying down in the snow, I guess the cold must help.
I'll keep praying Keegan will be alright Staci, (((((hugs )))) to you both.

Thinking about Keegan.
Hopefully in the next 24 hours she will be walking better.
You might want to give her a buffered aspirin if your vet says
it is ok.

the vet got us right in
we did a chiropractic adjustment and acupressure treatment - and healing energies and Vit B shots for pain relief
She was a wild child while there of course!
Hopefully this will help her.
Thanks everyone!

She was a wild child while there of course!
Maybe the "fix" is to just take her into the White Coat's Office once a week ...
Or decorate one room in the House to "look" like the White Coat's Place.
Hope she heals up FAST!!

Sounds like the same kind of treatment they would give Angus (the adjustment) and the same Roxey got. They sure seem to feel better after them don't they?
Sounds like she has enough to hopefully get her on the mend and feeling better.
