Though her thyroid levels are in normal range, they are a bit high. She also has an elevated liver enzyme that may account for hyperthroidism but the vet is going to have another test to confirm whether or not this is what is causing her murmur.
I asked her what the grade of the murmur was and she said a 3. One is barely visible, six is bad so she's half way in between. :( Poor thing.
If the next test comes back negative for high levels, she is referring us to the cardiologist. Please pray that everything is okay and that she doesn't have heart disease.
Also, Shadow's levels have come back and she has high levels of something in her kidneys. Though they are still in the normal range, it could eventually lead to renal failure. :( :( My poor kitties. Old age has set in. :(

Prayers are coming for Callie and Shadow.
I think that the Late Cleveland Amory said it best when he talked of the sadness when you realize just how limited your Companions lifespan is.
We hope that you will have Callie and Shadow for as long as you can,and they are comfortable.

It is hard to imagine that those little kittens that came into our lives years ago, are suddenly getting older. My vet said something interesting once, that all cats age differently. Ralph and Norton will both be 14 in June. Ralph is definitely the older one of the two. Norton is ageless, and so far(fingers crossed)is in good health. He is a far cry from the day he was rescued from the sewer severely dehydrated, malnourished, and in respiratory distress!
We are all hoping and praying that your kitties will be with you for years to come!!! Take Care!!
