Keep in mind that it's a summer wedding, the color is periwinkle, and it's a summer/nature type theme. Live fish and paper butterflies and dragonflies will decorate the tables. :)
At first I was thinking the Wild Flowers, but now I'm thinking it might be too casual. At first I thought the butterflies were too plain, but now since I have a theme, I think they look kinda elegant.
But I wanted some opinions from the peanut gallery. ;)
Here are the designs:

*EDIT* - I omitted the verses I had picked. Mom and Dad would prefer one that had their names on the invite too, which was not an option on the ones I had listed.
Thank you for your opinions/comments. :)

I love the design of the perwinkle flowers but I love the saying the from the wild flowers -- do you have to have the saying that comes standard or can you revise it?

There are actually hundreds of verses to choose from. I just picked the ones that I felt 'fit' with the invitation design. :D

Thats what I was thinking, but I voted for the wildflowers because I love the verse.

I would keep the saying traditional. The flower one is too "cutesy" to me. I think you are more mature and serious about the wedding, and your invitations should reflect that.
Though if you feel in your heart that it represents your outlook on marriage, then it IS a great choice for you! :)

Agreed. Some of the verses are downright goofy. Filled with puns and uber cuteness. Not for me. *laughs*
I can omit the verses. I just grabbed a few I liked. In the end, I think my mom will pick a verse from the ones I've selected. I thought it was neat how the butterly one just seemed to fit that design.
I'm just trying to get a feel for what design people like. :)

Kimmy,
Although I like the Periwinkle because of the color, butterflies are a sign of a new beginning. And since you guys will be beginning your new life together, it only seems fitting. Just my opinion.

It's hard to say. It's traditional in the sense that I'm wearing white and the guys are wearing tuxes. It's in a venue that there will be a roof over our heads but the walls can open up to let the outdoors in. Think a pavilion or barn type setting. Not right outdoors but close.
The reception is a buffet in a semi formal setting.
So it's not uptight formal or totally casual. It's semi formal I would say. :)

Very true. :)
Plus the text can be in Periwinkle. (the sample image is but the screen capture doesn't show that very well).

I voted for butterflies, but now that I see them well, I think I preffer the periwinkle flowers.... I really don't know... The butterflies are more elegant and traditional, and I love the fact that they represent a new beggining... but I love the color of the periwinkle flowers...
About the wild flowers... I agree with with you, they look a bit casual...
And about the sayings.... I think the wild flowers one is the best one...

Ditto. Simple, clean, but elegant lines. Nothing frilly or overdone.

I vote Butterflies!
At first I was drawn to the Wildflowers one but then I kept looking back and forth and I decided the flowered ones were too cute and girlie looking. I like the butterflies because it looks simple, elegant and with a touch of class. Also, if its true what Donna said about a new beginning, then I think that is perfect.

I vote for the flowers. Since your having a outdoor wedding the wild flowers fit perfect into the atmosphere of a garden/outdoor wedding.
I feel flowers can be on an invitation and still be formal, mature, and have a serious tone about an upcoming wedding. I had them in my invitations when I got married for the first and last time :) at age 44 years. I do believe I was mature and serious about my upcoming wedding.
You go with what feels right to you, regardless of the zillion different opinions that will come your way.

I like the butterfly one. I like that they're all white. The color of the text will provide the perfect touch of color.

Thanks, Karen - that's PERFECT!
Oh my, I didn't care for the butterflys at all - guess it is just the spacing and the type of butterfly.
I do like the periwinkle because it is soft and muted and goes with your overall theme.
And don't be offended, but I didn't care for the wording on any of them.
Just too cutsey for me.
Just another opinion to make you crazy!!!! :)

I vote butterflies. I love they way the are white but the design gives it so much character (to me)... just makes it look welcoming and like everyone else has said more elegant. I also like the idea of perriwinkle ink... that sounds so pretty!!!!

Butterflies. I'm a butterfly freak anyway but I love the elegance that that invitation offers. The other two are gorgeous as well :)

Ooops... when I said the flower one is too cutesy, I was referring to the saying, not the image. You are completely right flowers are never inappropriate on a wedding invititation! :)
