Candles popular with F1 fans

Formula One fans are snapping up candles that smell of a pit lane.

The candles give off a scent of oil and burning rubber.

They are being sold for £8 each from a US firm's internet site reports The Sun.

Speaking of burning rubber, you just reminded me that I used to sometimes have a Cup-a-Soup for lunch. You know the sort of thing? Sachet of dried lumps that you mix with boiling water. Absolutely disgusting, but handy for lunch and very low in calories. When the third person in a week told me they could smell burning rubber round my desk, I stopped eating them!

What flavor was it?

Radial Ramen? Sidewall Shrimp? Bridgestone Beef? :D

You know, I like the smell of gasoline. And "pit row" too ;)

Guess you just have to be into cars LOL

The smell of gasline has always given me a headache, since early childhood when my Dad helped a friend run a gas station (a secondary job for Dad, so just part time). I like cars, attended races as a kid ...

"Daddy, why do we hafta sit way up here?"
"Because you don't want to be deaf by the time you're an adult, and I'd rather not sacrifice any more of my own hearing either."
"Oh."
"And you can see the whole track from here, too, which you couldn't from down there, right?"
"Oh, okay!"

... and, as a child of my father's, know more about cars than most "girls," and even a lot of guys.

But the smell of burning rubber does not appeal to me.

As LadysOtherHuman about the lovely scent of the tire LadysHuman brought home ...

Had I known the Ferrari was going to do all the burnouts during the opening Olympic Ceremonies I would have gladly burnt that candle...

Have you ever given thought to Gas-X, or some other 'additive' to soften your system's 'output'? :D

OMG, I am hysterical!

It's not that big a deal, a few years ago, a group of us went to Pocono to see a race, they were selling some of the used racing slicks at the track for $20. They actually had one of Mark Martin's tires from Bristol. He's planning on making a coffee table for his playroom in the basement. It's cool you can see the blisters on it and everything.
