I have never responded to this thread and rarely visit it. It's bad, I know and I'm ashamed of myself. :o However, I just got home from work and something told me to open it up right away. I've just read Dorothy's post and somehow it seems way to close to home. Dorothy, I don't know what to say except to send out all my prayers to you, Bob and the family. Big {{{hugs}}} to you sweetie.
Catty, your post touched my heartstrings because I had an uncle that went through the same thing. He finally did have his surgery and made a complete recovery. He passed of old age about 10 years later. I pray that she will come out on the winning end very soon. Big {{{hugs}}} to you too.
...and to the rest of you, I'm deeply sorry that I have not responded to all of you. Please know that each and every one of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Forgive me as well. Sometimes, admittingly, shamefully, I get self absorbed with me, myself and I.
And my problems are nothing compared with others. The PT family is so dear to me that when I read sad things about them and their friends and family, it breaks my heart. So if I don't reply either, it's because I can't find adequate words to respond, from worry and shock, but please know that before I lay my head on the pillow at night, I pray in my own way for all of you and yours. I have a problem understanding why such sad/bad things happen to such good people. It boggles my mind.

Dorothy, I'm so sorry to hear about your dear friend Bob. He must have enjoyed your visit tremendously, as I'm sure you bring the same warmth & compassion in person that you send to us on PT.
And Catty1, I will keep your friend Irene in mind, I hope she starts to feel better soon.

What i want to keep in my prayers at the moment for what i am suffering from is my grandpa who is about to pass away soon this year. He is still doing great just make me so sad when i talk to him he cries and he tell me "Alma yo no quiero morid horita no." which means "Alma i don't want to die, not yet." it made me so sad for him to say that to me and made me cry so much. Like i am right now since i have been pming with a GREAT friend that is also in the same situation as me she lost a loved one also and i want to have her and her family in my prayers and know that i am thinking about them as well as my family with the tragedy that is going through.

please say a prayer for my dad - he is having a lot of back pain and his legs are going numb and its difficult for him to walk but he won't stop "going".
Thanks
Bless your heart - this is way more than the average bear can handle!
I know that all of us will continue to have you and your husband in our prayers.
I am not sure what is happening to the medical profession - as it now seems worldwide.
We have become people known by their number..............let's just hope they use the right number when you get your husband's test results back.

This is small compared to lots of others I see here. Please pray for Duke. Within just yesterday and today, he's stumbling and falling. It's his bad hip. He doesn't seem to have pain, which is good. I've been crying for the past hour, since I git home. I've sat in the floor with him and cried in his fur. I'm too upset to call the vet. Will call when I wake up and take him tomorrow. I can't even bear the thought of losing him. His mind is still active and he still likes to play. What am I going to do? :(

Prayers and good thoughts for everyone that needs them...may God be with you in all of your times of need.
Please keep my grandfather in your thoughts. As many of you know, my grandmother passed away in October of last year as of cancer, and that made my grandfather very depressed. As of only a few days ago, he has a hospital bed in his living room...and is really going downhill. He fell out of his bed the other morning trying to get up...and cut his elbow wide open. :( All I ask is to keep him in your thoughts and prayers..things are NOT going good at all for him right now. I saw him lastnight, that's the best he's seemed to act in a while...except that he has lost alot of weight and is really skinny now. Thank you all so much for keeping us all in your prayers. You have such kind souls!!
I am frequently thinking of everyone...and praying that everything turns out ok! Many more prayers to come your way.
A prayer has been said for your Grandfather. It is so painful to watch those you love decline.

please say a prayer for my dad - he is having a lot of back pain and his legs are going numb and its difficult for him to walk but he won't stop "going".
Thanks
after a very painful last week - my mom took my dad to the ER and they gave him a muscle relaxer and he felt almost instantly better. They think its his sciatic nerve. My mom and grandma have both had this it is quite common. But my mom never thought of it with him he has had so many back and spine problems in his life including back surgery (he rolled a semi in a ditch back in the late 70's) that we just assumed it was his spine.
http://www.spine-health.com/topics/cd/d_sciatica/sc01.html
he still is seeing a pain specialist on Friday and had an MRI yesterday so we'll see what happens then.
Thanks.

Looks like around the first of November my dad is facing major back surgery with a large incision, rods and pins in his spine, and about 3-4 days in the hospital with a legnthy recovery time. He sees the dr again in 3 weeks to set up an appt.

My brother-in-law's nephew, Dave, was brutally beaten in August, and left for dead by a dumpster. He is still in a coma. Dave is 21 years old. He has just been moved from the ICU to a rehab center, and is listed in serious, but stable, condition. No idea why this happened, and of course, the reasons don't matter, do they?
Dave, and his family could use the special magic of PT.
Thanks,

Our little community - how could we have so much suffering to share? But we do - and we also have much joy - new babies - new pets - and good outcomes on surgeries. I guess it is just "life".
It seems so little to say "prayers will be offered" - but lots of them will be offered and intently for each one.

You know, Phred, that is exactly what I emailed Staci. It just seems as though there is a rush to surgery as the solution.
My brother went through a lot of pain a few years ago and the Dr. was all hot for surgery. In the end - he opted out on the surgery - and with care has been fine since.

My neighbor mentioned to me the other day he was "saving" a dalmation from going to the pound. He really doesn't want her but didn't want to see her go to the pound. He isn't the best dog owner but I suppose his intentions are good.
I mentioned this at work and my boss' aunt wants this dog.
Please pray that we can get this 5-6 month old dalmation out of the home she's in - I don't think she's being abused - just doesn't have time for her. And make the connections so that this dog can have a fabulous home with my boss' aunt.

Need a little prayer nudge -
My husband is waiting (and waiting and waiting) to hear about a new job he interviewed for. It seems like it's a go, but somewhere along the line, "paperwork" has gotten bogged down because someone was off on vacation. He won't know for sure till that person moves things along. (the interviewers can't tell him yes or no till it's official) Could you please say a little prayer that 1) I develop alot more patience NOW :p and 2) we hear one way or the other soon. He's hoping it's yes, but it would be nice to know either way. Thanks, I'm praying for all of your requests, too!

Prayers going out for Joanne and Trevor's family & friends. I'm so sorry to hear he didn't get help for this sooner... The surgery my husband had recently was for this type of weird heart condition that puts them at risk of "sudden death" syndrome. Don't know if it's the same, but sounds similar. Trevor was far too young :( Rest in Peace, Trevor.

10-05-2006, 10:42 PM
Thanks, cyber-sides.
One of Trevor's brothers spoke today - he was the only family member to know about Trev's medical problems, as Trev did not want his parents to be worried. Both parents are alive and healthy and in their 90's!
It was the kind of heart condition where one half beats too fast and the other part does 'nothing', if that makes any sense.
All went well today....the place was full - though an Anglican(Episcopalian) service, there were Gaelic elements, and several Buddhist rites.
I got to sing and play piano. Joanne had requested me - and I told my boss I was going to be there. No way I wasn't going to be.
Trevor was very loved - his brothers from down east were amazed to hear from others about Trevor, and what an impact he had on everyone.
They are having a memorial in Ontario next week for the parents, and the friends there. I hope the brothers' account of what they heard here will comfort the parents somewhat - that he was so loved!
Enough outta me - may everyone's prayers come true! :)

... they still don't know what's causing her pain ...
"Blood work is normal ..." http://petoftheday.com/i/our_smilies/rolleyes.gif
I've heard that "Blood work is normal" line a time or two myself. http://petoftheday.com/i/our_smilies/rolleyes.gif http://petoftheday.com/i/our_smilies/mad.gif
Since the PROPER "Blood work" *IS* a good indicator of many illnesses ...
that "Blood work is normal" statement often indicates that the correct test just hasn't been run -
and when that correct test is finally ordered - the cause of the mystery illness or pain
may become known.
Time to Chat with the Docs to encourage them to explore a bit deeper -
order some DIFFERENT Tests to look for a problem that might be bit less common.
Prayers Offered for Jenny (Lady's Other Human)!!

The fact that Jen is in pain because some idiot with a scalpel screwed up?
Or the fact that I get to start talking with lawyers as soon as Jen is home and well?

Figured I'd update here as well:
Jen had surgery yesterday, and it appears all went well. They are going to let her have breakfast this morning (She hasn't been allowed to eat since Sunday evening). They have more tests scheduled for tomorrow, and if all goes well she'll be released tomorrow afternoon.

I'd like to ask for prayers for a nurse/friend at work. Her husband was admitted into the hospital today after having battling quite stoicly for a couple months with abdominal pain. Today he went to the drs office and could barely walk. :( He is a sheriff's deputy so normally is fit and trim and slightly robust. He has lost 40 pounds since this started and there is nothing to him and his face is just gaunt. He had to wrap the drawstring of the shorts around his waist twice. :(
He is the father of 3 small children ages 1-5. He has horrible coloring. I am not sure they have figured out the source of the problem yet. He and his wife have been through a lot with her having several miscarriages and then they lost an infant at only 1 day old from her having an infection all thru her blood. He is only 36 years old. Both he and his wife come from well liked families in the county and have a strong family network. They also happen to be the couple that has Keegan's daddy. I like to joke they are her grandparents. ;)
Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
Thanks!

Prayers, please everyone! Jenny (Lady's Other Human) had her gall bladder taken out Monday, and things seemed fine, but very early this morning she was taken to the hospital in severe abdominal pain.
Talked to Lady's Human an hour ago, he said so far all they know is "the bloodwork looks normal," so big prayers for Jenn to be okay please everyone!
Hi everyone! Sorry it's taken so long to respond. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! to everyone for the prayers and well wishes. A special thanks to the Mayor for sending my Angel Bear to me. She was there when I got home last Wednesday. Recovery is going well and I am allowed to get off the couch now. The kids are very happy to have me home as is Fred and Lady. The first two days I had to sleep on the reclining part of the couch and I got lots of cuddles from my kitties to help me get better. In three weeks I have to go back so they can take the shunt out so please continue to keep me in your prayers that, that part of the surgery goes well too.

I've been thinking of everyone who's posted in this thread or in a seperate.
I have a few to as for myself, if you don't mind?
First, my uncle. He is an alcoholic. We got a call from him the other day that he is checking himself into a rehab. He called to ask for us to think good thoughts for him, so I want to extend his wish all over the world. We hope that this is the last of his alcoholism. Please pray, think of, whatever you choose for Uncle Marty.
Secondly, my co-worker Selena. She is a wonderful, wonderful single mom. She has always been so strong-willed and has herself and her child set. She's always been willing to help someone else out wether it be financially or just with advice. Now, her grandmother is in very bad condition, lives in a different state, and Selena is torn over it. I've known her for about a year and a half and have NEVER seen her cry. This week she's been doing it almost non-stop at work.
Please have the both of them in your thoughts.

Kay, sending prayers & good vibes for your Uncle Marty. Your Uncle stands a good chance of recovery with going into a rehab, will keep praying he's hit his bottom ad won't have to keep living in alcoholic hell.
May Selena find peace regarding her grandmother. It's so hard to be far away from someone you love when they're suffering. Your friendship and support must give her a lot of comfort.
Keeping all these prayer requests in mind. :)

Could I also ask for prayers for my father, again? He is immunocomprimised, has CLL, and has been fighting an infection for weeks now. His white blood cell count is very very low and he has been on three different oral antibiotics to no avail. We are hoping that the doctors will take a more aggressive approach, because he is just continuing to weaken. It is very hard for us to see him like this. :(

The power of PT Prayer is amazing...and I really need that right about now. :(
Long story short...I've been in a HUGE amount of severe pain lately and I'm having a hard time with my doctors. My Cedars doctors do not feel my pain is crohn's related (even though it all began at the same time, is in my abdoman and is effected by stress, eating, going to the potty, etc.) and thus don't feel the need to treat me.
My current pain doctor is becoming horrible. My meds aren't working and he made me wait 2 weeks for new ones. As a result I had to stay at Cedars for a week. When I finally got home and got the new meds (it was a trial period), I called for them to fill enough until my next appt on 11/10. I told the girl on the phone the dose that I was taking, the dose that was WORKING. I ended up in the ER again last night and found that the doctor LOWERED my dose from the initial trial period!!! I didn't look at the bottle because I had thought the doctor would have listened to me telling him what works!!!'
I went down to Cedars Pain Mgmt Center and my doc basically brushed me off. I'm trying to get into a Chronic Pain Managment Program at the Daniel Freeman Hospital where they'll take me off my meds and then start again, thus lowering my high tolerance and will help them work again, with fewer meds. I've been calling over there sinse Friday at 2:30 and the coordinator FINALLY called me while I was in my therapy session. I called him back not 5 minutes later (and again every 1/2 hour until 5:00p) and couldn't reach him.
I'm thinking things and acting in ways I don't normally act. This constant pain and the frustration have me not wanting to live any more. I've NEVER, EVER, EVER felt this way, but I'm just as a loss. I've done everything I'm supposed to do, and more and I'm not getting the help I need and deserve.
Last night the ER doc sent me home...I was still (and still am) in a ton of pain. He let me go home becuase Cedars told him it wasn't Crohn's related and its not life threatening. Meanwhile I'm in excrutating pain and want to off myself to make it stop, to get peace. I know that's not the answer, but I can only take so much. :(
Thankfully, I've found a really, really wonderful therapist and saw a psychiatrist today who prescribed some meds to help calm me down. I just hate that this is changing who I am.
I'm not getting support from my mother, in fact, its getting much worse and she's being mean and horrible. I have nowhere else to go, so if I bring anything up or disagree with her, she'll kick me out.
I really, really, really need prayers. I feel as though God is ignoring me. I've been praying so hard for the past 2 months and things just keep getting worse for me. I'm trying hard to keep my faith, but I feel ignored and not cared about. I know in my heart and head that's not the case, but I just don't get it.
Thanks for listening and for the prayers.
Hugs, Kelly

Maybe there is a reason for me being up at this late hour, Kelly.
I wish I had an easy answer for you, my friend. My heart aches, just knowing what you are dealing with, right now, and have been for so long.
Please know that you are loved and your life and YOU are valuable to us. I know you are in a bad place right now, but don't give up on your faith and don't give up on life. PLEASE!!!!
There has got to be an answer for you, and a resolution to your pain. Hang in there and if you need to talk, I think you know how to reach me. I hope you do.
Love,
Logan

I've read the recent entries in this thread and please know that I will have you all in my prayers. If you all don't mind, I could use some prayers. I'm in a difficult spot in my life right now. My husband and I have separated, and are seeking therapy to find out if we want to try and salvage our relationship, or make a break. I feel so lost and confused and have sunk into depression, finding it hard to get up everyday because all I feel is dread. Know that prayers are winging their way at this moment, I hope you both find happiness. Have you talked with anyone re: depression? There's good medical resources available to help you, and it's well worth getting some professional help. Don't feel that yo have to remain feeling trapped. Please keep my sister's mother in law in your prayers.
Her name is Sandy. I have asked for prayers for her before. She is recently diagnosed with breast cancer and is going thru chemo. She is not eating, lost a lot of weight, lost most of her hair, and is in the hospital right now with very low red blood cell count and white blood cell counts.

Thanks, I haven't heard how she is today. Will call my sister this evening.
Also, my dad is having a pretty significant back surgery on Monday the 27th. Please pray that God's hand will guide the surgeons and this will help with his excrutiating back pain.

Lots of prayers and good thoughts for everyone that needs them. I will be continually thinking of you.
Please pray for my family and close friends. I lost my grandfather just about two or three weeks ago. He had been sick for a LONG time, and passed away just over a year after my grandmother. :( Please be thinking of Ellie, too- nothing serious happened, but she just had surgery.
Thanks alot for your good thoughts and prayers. Once again, I will be thinking of you and your families/friends!

Please pray for my MIL. She was diagnosed with breast cancer a few months ago. She already had her mastectomy & lympectomy, and is currently on chemotherapy for breast cancer. Last month, during her routine follow-up, they found a new cancer. This time, it's on her lung.
She will have a surgery to remove the malignant tumor from her lung next monday...
Please pray that God will provide her with all the strengths she needs to endure the surgery, and a speedy recovery afterward. Please also pray for her courage & determination to continue to fight the gruelsome battle with cancers.
Amen.

My heart aches with going to so many funerals lately. The most recent deaths were King, and S.O.'s grandmother, and a friend of my parents'.
Just tonight a friend (through another internet site) out in CA announced to the board that was probably going to be her last post. Cancer is taking her life and she is in the final stages of the kind she has.
I'd glad she at least said goodbye to us, but i'm sad i never got to meet her in person.
We shared so many stories and emails through recent years it almost feels like she's an Aunt to me.
Please say prayers for her last days to be comfortable, and for her friends and family's ease of heart.

My worst fears realized. Not even 1/4 into the surgery, they hit a major problem. Not to get into perticulars- but they had to abort the procedure. I have a week to heal. Then instead of 3-5 days in the hospital will be a week or a little longer. Meanwhile I have to watch for internal bleeding problems.
I am depressed.. I knew something was wrong when I woke up, and the doctor was sitting there at a chair next to the bed. At the news of what it is, I started to cry..
WHY AM I ALWAYS the "remote possiblity"???? This is now the 3rd time a "remote possiblity" has come true. When I tore up my knee after the break healed they said blah blah " and a remote possiblity the maniscus ( spelling) is so badly torn, you will wake up with a cast .. I did!. When I broke my leg last year- they said well you will have a 2-4 inch metal plate and about 4 screws in your leg, ITS A REMOTE CHANCE MORE- BUT WE DOUBT IT" - I woke up to " there is more hardward than we anticipated in your leg- its over 6 inches long with 14 screws, and two screws in the ankle itsself attaching the fibula... When I got pregnant with my daughter- " there is only a remote chance you will carry full term"- SHE WAS 3 WEEKS LATE AND CARRIED FINE.. ( ONLY POSITIVE 'REMOTE CHANCE" I CAN THINK OF..)
NOW- I am more worried and scared.. I understand they cant know all things- but that ray of hope I never would have thought of, held onto, got dashed to pieces. I can even see the fear on my husbands face...
Well- darnit ( sorry to curse) I have been saying for over a year how I feel.. Just like I did with my leg, or my knee- Doctors must think people are hypocondriacs ( spelling?).. Well- I AM NOT.. A normall active woman goes into a shell for months unable to do jack beans- even housework is a major adventure- and there isnt a problem???
You know the joke of this? Zubin is one of two therapy dogs I have that works with children with cancer- somehow he knows when things are turning. He gets silly with a child that is " not doing well", then presses his head in a childs lap " that is progressing"- only to slip suddenly out of no where into a more serious situation. He has been putting his head in my lap for months now. Pressing- like he knows something is progressing with his mother. Well ZUBIN WAS THE ONLY ONE RIGHT HERE.. I am not bashing my doctor- he is one of the top in the whole Northern Va. area and my hospital is one of the top 100 in the country- ( award and all!) so they know.. and I know they cant see all things in a ultrasound- but I would rather not have the hope, and given the worse case as " how it is" and anything else would feel like a blessing and not "dashed hopes".
I am sorry to vent- I am just upset, depressed, and now more worried. I am placing this in Gods' hand as He knows what is best for me in the future and the best way to remedy the ailment. It is terribly hard thought not to feel confused and scared..
This pet talk has been a God sent. It lets me think of anything else other than what is in my face 24/7.. I want to thank you all for your wonderful support. I have gotten so many positive wonderful pm's and I really do appreciate it.. Really!

I knew something was wrong when I woke up, and the doctor was sitting there at a chair next to the bed. ... and the good news is that you did wake up! Better than the alternative, yes? (I'm trying to be light-hearted here ;) ) Doctors are pretty much "body mechanics", and they aren't perfect or all-knowing. Could be they didn't know what was really wrong till they got in there. It sounds like you are in good hands at a good place. Just try to take it one day at a time, God will give you the strength for today...everyday. So you have your computer with you? That's cool!

I'm glad your alive.
And...I'm with you...Doctors DO think most people are hypocondraics.I can understand that but when all turns out true with what the patient says and they still give you that look...it's very sad for us.It hurts emotionally.
We as people know our bodys.
I hope you get well through all this and the future brings much good health and happiness for you.

I just got a call. They got enough into this, to prevent infection they have to wait until jan 3rd. The holidays and staffing at the hospital is not helping to move this up. At holidays, with short staffing etc they say they do not do surgeries that can wait. That doesnt stop an emergency, but I would not have my doctor. At this point, I would rather the same one as I have been through ENOUGH.. ( mutter mutter....kicking dirt clods- mutter mutter....) Meanwhile I feel like- "more hurry up and wait???" .. I know he has a right to a vacation.. but.. I am still muttering. .. They tried for the 14th. No go- too booked. I am wondering if they could move someone that could wait.. I suggested as they " quote look into the matter" as I need to cover my recovery with someone that can here. My husband is a top engineer - his place shuts down for two weeks at christmas- easily home with no problems as no one can cover his job..
( This really stinks... mutter mutter- more kicking dirt clods- mutter mutter..)

Someone on a message board posted it years ago and for me it stuck. It isn't religion specific even though it's a religious site hosting it. The words spoken with in are words of wisdom. The first time i seen it, i seen how purple it was and almost closed it right away (My third least liked color then.) By the reviews people were giving it on the board though i HAD to check it out. I'm glad i did.
Hope you all enjoy. If you like it, please pass it on.

Jess, you are constantly in my prayers. I'll add a few extras. This time of year is so hard. I wish I were closer so I could come spend some time with you, Tommy and Tasha.
I am going to ask that you all also keep my sister and my aunt in your prayers. My sister (who is 4 years older than I am) has been diagnosed with cancer in her uterus. She will undergo a radical hysterectomy in the coming weeks. Her appt with the oncologist is on Dec. 18 and they will go from there. My aunt's Lymphoma has come back and she is undergoing some treatment at Duke, right now.
God will help me with all of these prayer requests since I have a hard time keeping up sometime. He will know who I am praying for.

I read this thread every morning but don't usually repond. Instead, I bow my head and say a little prayer for those who need it. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers every day.
My Auntie Ruth just turned 97 in September....she's my Dad's baby sister. She is in a care home and has now stopped eating and drinking water. She has very little output as well and it seems that the time has come. She is only about 5 min from where I live and I was over to see her this week. She is very weak and has told me she is ready to go....however, she's been telling me that for the last year. But now, she can't walk either and has to be taken to meals in a wheelchair and the staff or family have to almost force feed her. She now has an infection for which the family has decided not to give her antibiotics. She is in no pain or discomfort at all.
Auntie Ruth has always been my favourite Aunt and she is the last remaining one. She is the perfect example of and angel and she never says a bad thing about anyone. A Christian herself, she has the strongest faith of anyone I know. Her door was always open to strangers and she often invited a low income family over for a meal after church.....a different family every Sunday. If I every grow up, I want to be just like her.
Please pray that when it's her time, she goes peacefully in her sleep.

I know I have not posted for awhile and I'm actually nervous about asking, but I would like to have some of those pet talk prayers if I could please.
My husband left me a little over 2 months ago. I am not coping well at all. You could probably even say I am not coping. I feel crushed, broken and completely devastated. I am in a deep dark black hole and can't seem to find my way out. I have been with Alden since I was 16 years old. We've been together for 26 years. I want him to come back home so bad. I know many of you will think that I am weak and pathetic for wanting that. I love him with all my heart and always have. I pray every day that God will let him realize that he is making a mistake and that he will come back home to me. Could you guys please pray for the same thing and also pray for me to have the strength to deal with all of this. I would deeply appreciate it. I would love to see if those Pet Talk prayers really do work.
You have no idea how hard it was for me to come here and ask this.

Robilee-
My sister went through this two. She came one day, her husband said he didnt love anymore, college sweethearts, and he had to " go find himself". To her this came out of no where. Later during the investigators my parents hired, turned out he had two other woman in two other states. She was so crushed - ..
You need counsiling- it helped her. Also they told her to take B complex especially at night as this is a natural supplement that handles depression.
When I left my ex- I thought my life was over. I had no clue life could be good again- even better than before..
I am telling you- THERE IS LIFE AFTER DIVORCE.. You can not make someone do anything, but you can control what you do.. You are in my prayers and I feel for you- and if you want to chat, you can pm me or send me a instant messanger as it is listed under my profile. ( Just tell me who you are so I answer...)

Thats okay baby!!! I know how you feel. Please try the b complex. You can get it anywhere like a walmart, or cvs. I got the ones from GNC my first month. Its a water soluable vitamin so you want it in the system the longest without uh losing it.. It really does help.. ( also- believe it or not- so does chocolate- there is some chemical in chocolate that helps with depression). Even if you just one had piece at mid day... Treat yourself.. If you lived near by, you could come use my whirlpool.. But I warn you- it turns your muscles into mush!!!
Also- change your music you listen too. None of this " we use to listen to this song" stuff. I switched to country music from gospel or rock- the reason- yessssssssss they lose their wife and car and dog ( yes thats a joke) but its your own music. BTW- you know what happens when you listen to a country music song backwards right- you get your wife back, you get your truck back and you get your dog back- AND YES THAT WAS A JOKE!!!!! come on.. giggle-- I can see your mouth opening in a smile.. come on giggle... pretty pretty please......) :D

I need prayers for my dear friend. She was hit by a car last night. One of her friends was with her and told her not to cross, but she did. She was hit by a car, fell into the other lane and was run over. Both cars didn't even bother stopping to help her. She was taken to the hospital in a helecopter. i didn't find this out untill today. At first, I thought she was dead, since all I heard were bad rumors at school. However, she is alive, but is unconcious, has a broken leg, arms, pelvis, jaw and skull. No back or neck injuries, thank God, but internal bleeding and a lacerated liver. I haven't been able to see her and although she's doing well considering the severity of it, there's still a chance that things will go terribly wrong. Please, pray for her, her family, and the friend that was with her.

She's still in very critical condition, but has improoved since yesterday. Thank you for your prayers! I think now its just getting all of the injuries to heal, since they won't get any worse, and heal the emotional injuries to her and her family. The girl she was with and saw it all happen is a wreck and we haven't seen her. Hopefully she'll not be at school for the next few weeks. What is really making me furious is the way people are handling it. You would not beleive how many people were saying "At least it was just her instead of someone else" I'm so furious, I had to force myself to calm down and not beat them to a bloody little stain on the sidewalk.

I had 2 spinal fusion which did not work and noone ever believed the pain I was in until recently.
Chronic pain is a very lonely life.
I know all about chronic pain. And I read a lot of books that were written by doctors with chronic pain so it helps. But if you ever need me...please PM me.I'm finally on the right road after seeing a pain specialist.(An intelligent one). He's a neorologist.
What I've gone through is horrible until you find the right doctor for what you need.
I'm here if you need me for support.Anytime.

I am praying for everyone who has asked for them.
Please keep your prayers coming for me. I have not been doing well this week and feel so miserable, defeated, lost, frightened and scared.
I also feel I am losing faith in prayers. I know that is a bad thing, but I have been praying every day, several times a day since this has started and I see nothing good coming from it.
I know I shouldn't give up, but I am so tired. Just completely drained. Emotionally and physically.

You are in my thoughts and prayers every day Robin. I know that for me it has helped to just pray for peace and acceptance, rather than pray for something specific to happen. It can be a little scary doing that too, because you crave things to be the way you long for them to be so much, and by not praying specifically for it you feel you may be giving up on it, but for me I've found a strange peace in simply praying for inner peace and strength, no matter what else happens. I hope that makes sense. {{hugs}}

You've been on my mind a lot, Robin. My first marriage broke up after 20 years, I know how devasting it can feel. I have found that prayer is a wonderful tool for transformation - it doesn't always change the circumstances, but it always changes me. I'm praying for the best and highest good for all concerned. Brian has stopped eating and drinking. He doesn't want to live like he's living. I haven't talked to him in a month and our last conversation wasn't a good one. He wasn't wanting anyone to call him but I never dreamed that would include me. In the phone call before that, he told me that it was no way to live. It must be hard having your mind normal and not being able to move or do anything for yourself. It's been a very sad year. I hate that this has happened to him. He's much too sweet a man to have to leave the world this way. I'm so glad I got to see him in October. I just wish he wasn't isolating himself like this and that I weren't so far away. If I were there, that might have made a big difference.

Debated but the more people praying the more it could help. My dad is currently under going testing for possible leukemia. Long story but he nearly died from a gall stone which lead to all manner of blood tests. He is going in on the 10th to have his gallbladder out and they will be doing a liver biopsy at the same time to determine any possible permanent damage due to his gallbladder incident. so pray all his test come out good(not positive since that's bad in medical terms:) ) and that his surgery goes smoothly.
