There has not been one single second in my life where a dog hasn't been at home with me. When I was born we had Retread and when I was two we got Buttons, so when Retread died Buttons was there. Then shortly after Retread died we got Mandy, and this past year when Buttons died Mandy was still there. And now we also have Nova and Luka. There hasn't been one second in my life where a dog hasn't been there, and I don't think there ever will be. Two or more dogs are more fun than one dog, they seem to bring out crazy qualities in the other :p

Well... I'm 14 now... but no.
I never even had any pet of my own until I got Frisk... which was just over five years ago.
Its my mum's fault! :o Yes, she was the one who wouldn't allow me to have a dog. She's the reason that I had to beg for over a year for a dog.
Ah... but everything payed off. The pets have turned her into an animal lover! :D

My parents always had dogs but just before I was born my dad's dog passed away and it took him awhile to actually want another dog...

I got my first dog (Simba) when I was 10 and have never been without a dog since.

Before I had dogs of my own, I was constantly playing with the neighbordogs.

Seabastion & Captain - the two poodles who my best childhood friend had. We used to dress them up and push them in strollers. The last time I saw the both of them they were both blind but happy in their old ages. I assume they are now at the bridge.

Terra & Trooper who I basically grew up with, they are now at the bridge. Often times when we had our house open, they'd wander inside. They were very well-behaved dogs and never left their yard other than to come to our house.

Norman and Pooter - Pooter was the true meaning of mutt. Her owners got her because she was "the ugliest" dog at the shelter. I couldn't even being to guess what breeds she was. Norman, The Cocker, is still alive. He certainly isn't the brightest but he was my swimming buddy. Before we even got dogs or a pool, I used to visit and swim with normal practically everyday.

So, really.. I've never been without a dog, but they always haven't been MY dogs.

When I was a month old, we adopted a beautiful 1 year old Samoyed from the Saskatoon SPCA. We had her (Chinook) until I was 5, then we moved and while we were moving out to the country, my aunt took care of her at her ranch, but ended up keeping her because Chinook loved the space.

When we moved to Manitoba when I was 10, we got a giveaway in the paper Gordon Setter x Golden Retriever named Wolfgang. When I was 15, he had to be put to sleep.

In October (same year Wolfgang went to RB) we adopted Mickey from Funds For Furry Friends in Brandon, Manitoba.

In December 2005, we adopted Molly from Winnipeg Animal Services.

So in all of my 16 (almost 17) years old life, I've only not had a dog for just short of 5 years. :D

Yup, ever since i was little we had dogs.

I remember feeding our daschund bananas through the screen door. i was only about 3 at the time so i guess we had him since before i was born. Then we got Gizmo, then evee, huey, molly, prince, and now astra. We had to give Gizmo away because we moved. Evee and Huey were bought at a very young age and died because of parvo. Max died when he was 10 or so because he had heartworms. :(

yes...
My parents got our first dog when I was 8, it was a yorkie. We couldn't have any pets before that because my sister was really sick and constantly in and out of the hospital. I 'lived' with my grandparents when my sister was in the hospital. My grandparents had 2 dogs then, a sheltie and an australian shepherd. When I was 9 my grandparents got a lab.

When Justin and I got married we got Bitsy as our wedding gift to each other, we got her 2 days before our wedding.

Yes! We got my first dog when I was two. We re-h0omes him when I was seven (NOT my choice, but at the time flea treatments were limited mostly to chemical ones and my mom was pregnant. :( )

After that, we were dog-less until I was about 11 and we founf a stray cocker on the road, We didn't end up keeping him but we got Star not long after that.

My family adopted a cocker-golden-maybe lab mix when I was a kid, maybe 9 or 10. I played with him alot but he was really my mom's & my brother's. He was finally pts at a ripe old age. I had cats for the next 34 years, and put my old kitty down in december. Got Star about 9 years ago, and have had doggies ever since.

I've never lived with out a dog or cat! When i was younger and still living with my mom, i use to go the pet store and buy cats and then i would tell her i found them. It was funny because my mom and I are such animal lovers, that she couldn't say No when i said i found the cats. She now knows that i bought them. haha!! :D

No, I've never had a dog as a child, but my grandmother always had pups (nippy, tippy, and spike) when i went to visit her in the summers when i was a kid.
My first dog is Camen from a shelter, He is now 2 yrs. We've had him in our lil family for 1 and a half yrs now, and more years to come :)

The first dog my family had was a Golden Retriever named Buddy. He passed away last year. I was 15 when we "rescued" Buddy from a campsite that is about 5 hours from here. I am now almost 21, so I have only had dog/s in my life for 6 years.
