HELP!!!! I think my dog could have a serious condition!!!

Hi! Umm.... my friend and i were petting my dog, Scamp, and we found a little lump in his skin. His skin is a peachy color, but the lump was brown. I don't know if it's cancer or what...PLEASE reply! any replys are appreciated more than you could know... :(

It may be just a skin infection, or my dog Eli has moles on his skin. Its likely just something simple, do not get too worried.

You are doing the right thing by taking him to a vet. When in doubt, I always talk to experts, about pets and about anything else.

It could be a mole, a freckle - what kind of dog is he, and how old? Is it irritated looking - red around it, or tender?

Actually, I just looked at it very closely and it looks like a scab that's just come off. I'm going to watch it and make sure it doesn't get to be gross looking or anything. He is a 4 year old Shetland Sheepdog named Scampy :)
