Lady's Other Human - what a treat you are going to join us. We have perfect baby sitters with excellent references that you can use to leave the kids at home. (but just on Thursdays! :D )

'Morning everyone! Wooo hooo, the Bahamas! The weather's been relatively nice around here lately - for January in the Midwest that is - but getting out in the sun and soaking up the warmth sure does feel good on these old bones.

It's a little early for a DOTD, and I have the accountant coming in today, so I think I'll have a rum and coke without the rum - and five ice cubes please. ;) As usual, my attempts at quitting coke are failing miserably. I really need to do some research and find a Coke's Anonymous. :rolleyes:

Richard, that pic reminds me of the whiteboard artwork we had in the ops area at FT Drum (AKA Ice station falcone)

Our CO used all the colors of whiteboard markers he could find, drew a tropical scene (pretty damned well, actually) and wrote under it "Where's your happy place?"

That hung in the staff area for almost two years before someone accidentally backed into it during a staff meeting. (THAT was a major foul.............was doing pushups for while for that)

Gini, Mario and the Orc get along fine, but we CAN'T let mario get the remote again. He leaves the poor beast twitching, the collar and the remote both need new batteries, and we can't get him to bring in wood for HOURS after Mario's done with him. Mario seems to like the Orc ride, however. :D

The Orc made his entry after David and I decided we needed help with the firewood, his actual entry into the bar was in another (Non thursday's ) thread.

Hopefully there'll be a nice warm piece of coffee ring waiting for me when I get home, I'd love an Irish coffee to go with it, but it wouldn't mix well with the meds. (Yes, bartender, another injury)

it's not exactly cinnamon rolls, but it's close, here have a piece, I have enough for everybody. I also have some homemade country white bread and I even brought some soft butter for it. The coffee ring goes real good with coffee. Just ask LH it's his mother's recipe.
