My five year old lab has been licking his paw. There is a small white patch, a crust, on the inside of his paw. Its likely infected. Does this sound fungal, bacterial? Please tell me its not ringworm. Anyone ever seen white patches on paws at the site of a possible infection?
advice is welcome
thx

I've never heard of this before, but if you think it's infected, please take the dog to the vet. :)

I highly doubt it is ringworm as that is usually more of a purpleish, blackish, blueish color, almost like a bruise. But then again I don't think I've ever seen ring worm on a foot pad either.
Frostbite can turn skin & the like white. It could be some type of scab or the sorts too.
Since it is obviously is bothering him I'd take him to the vets.
