With my luck, The tree would have fallen just at the moment the knife was at my throat.....
Richard is turning into Joe Btfsplk, the hard-luck charater from the Li'l Abner comic strip.

Here's the base of the tree, with Sara modeling a slushie and Lut's apron gift.

The branch right above Sara's head is the one the splintered........it is now hanging from the tree with all of the extended branches from the main branch on the roof.

((((Mom))))

I'm so glad that you were OK, first. I was so worried when I got Staci's text....but relieved when I spoke with you...especially that 2nd time after talking to my mom. :)

Now, hopefully the tree will only lose that one part...no more.

Hugs, Kelly :)

RandyK, I didn't know anyone else remembered Joe Btfsplk!! Many times (especially lately) I have identified with him ~ Oh Gini, I tried to call you last night but couldn't get through and that scared me. Stace, haven't had time to check all the pictures out but the ones I've seen - maaaahvelous my dear  Love the ones of the flowers in Gini's yard... and so very fitting for a beautiful flower of a woman

while this pales in comparison to what happened in Gini's yard - Keegan had some excitement while I was gone I wanted everyone to know about my HERO!

I just went through every picture in everyones album and am struck by many impressions! BUT, the first one I kept coming back to was.... ZIPSTER! You look like a movie star  My goodness you get prettier every time I see you and I surely hope I see you again real soon ~ all of you. The fun, the smiles, the glow from everyone ~ ah Gini, you did it again didn't you ;)

Aw, Laurie! :o :o :o

I, too, certainly hope to see you again real soon! I forget how long of a drive it is for you but is the labor day gathering at Findley a possibility for you?

Let's see... 6 hrs driving to Phred in Eastern Ohio and Findley is west - Ohio is a rather big state. I would probably be better off flying into somewhere and then renting a car. Not out of the question but I've been asked by marketing to work at a meeting in San Fran the 2nd week in September [poor me  ]. Won't know for another week or so, stupid immediate supervisor hasn't made up his mind if he can "spare" me. * if I'm so damned important I should be making more money * So we shall see. Oops, that was off subject - Gini, how is the tree work going? I checked the other thread but check in somewhere. Dang, it was good to talk to you last night!

Tell that supervisor that you MUST come to San Francisco in September! A certain short redhead with two goofy cats demands it and won't take no for an answer! :D

:D Do let me know so I can plan my vacation time off around your stay here in our shaky City - just had a 4.5 quake. The cats weren't too happy, but nothing broke; just some jangled nerves here.

That's what happens when the City hears that Laurie will soon visit - it starts to shake. :D :D

I've always hated earthquakes, especially since most of the big ones occur at night when your asleep......definately a different type of alarm clock!! Gini I'm glad to hear everyones safe. Between trees and earthquakes I think I'd need a vacation if I were you....
