Molly Coughs A Lot

So when we went to look at Molly at the pound, she had kennel cough and was on antibiotics. Three weeks later, it is gone now.

But Molly still coughs/gags. A lot. Sometimes it sounds like she's choking on something, but she's not.

When she gets excited, after she's eaten, outside, in her crate.. and especially in the morning after she comes out of her crate.

Personally, I don't think it's kennel cough, though.

What else could be making my baby cough so much? :(

I'd have her checked out by a vet.
It could be the KC returning, or heartworms (although coughing in heartworm is usually only common in advanced stages which usually takes 2-5 years but you never know).
It could be just from excitment especially since her throat may be irritated from having the KC, or maybe she eats too fast or a combination of factors.
It could be something more serious like a heart condition or cancer of some sort or the like. The possibilites could be endless and since it happens at all different times under different circumstances it would be best to have it checked out by your vet.

Well, we already have an appointment for yearly shots booked for Saturday so I'll try and convince my parents to ask the vet.

If she's caughing that much then you're not obsessive just a caring doggy mom! :D
