No, I LOVE dogs but for the best care for my two, I've got enough. :) Besides, I doubt my mom could afford it.
But, I would love one at my dad's house!!

*sigh* Yeah, I can't wait to move out. :)
I just love seeing photos of people's dogs playing together here on PT. It would be so much fun to have two pups that can play and roughhouse together. ^_^
Cocoa (grandma's dog) and Daphne do play a bit, but not in the way that biig dogs play together. (Cocoa's a little 10 pound Shih Tzu mix.)

Sometime after March/April I'd like to get my Great Dane pup. As of now I have no idea when I am getting him. I don't want him right away, because I still have a few small issues with both Mandy and Luka. But, once I get my Dane, I don't want any more dogs for a long time. 4 is quite a few to juggle with school and all :p

No! Two dogs is enough. :) Molly might not even work out, though, because of Mickey's jealousy issues.

I want *A* dog. :) Taking care of my parents' dogs is fun, but I want a dog to come home to. :)

Oh of course but not quite yet, i am aiming for about the next 12 months (Unless the perfect lil dog comes up in rescue before then ;) ). I am quite taken by 2 small dogs in foster care at the moment 1 Corgi/ BC x (He is only a bub) and a Chihuahua (Possible Aussie Cattle Dog lol) mix.
But then again i would love a dog i could do 3 sheep trialing with or yard utility trials with (Herding).

Yep, it's the best feeling in the world:D
My choice was "No, I have enough dogs for now". But it's not because I don't want any more (lol I'd always love to have more:D). Bon needs much more attention than any other dog we've ever had and therefore takes up more of my time. Plus the expense, he's a BIG dog and makes a BIG bill when we go the vets:p
So what I have now is enough, but one day (hopefully in the far future) I will have another:)

I would love a dog, not at this point though. I'll be waiting at least 3 years before I seriously consider getting one... :)

I would love a greyhound, but that won't be for a few years. Right now just isn't the time.

I'd like a small dog again. Since Sandy passed I've really missed having a lap dog around. Not that mine don't think they are, but I disagree when the smallest now weighs 55 lbs. I think I'll hold off for awhile since though since 4 is a handful already.

Yes, but only when I have a bigger yard for it. We are thinking of moving to the country sometime in the future in which we would make a huge yard. I think I would like another dog at that point. Right now I'm to busy to give another dog enough attention..especially seeing I want a puppy.

I am currently searching for an older Labrador or Golden... ;) It is not time yet, but when I spot one on Petfinder, I am going to see him/her.

Yeah. I want another dog but four dogs are a lot to handle. And with all the problems we've been having, (we're getting MUCH better) I'll wait until I get a bigger house and somebody dies. I REALLY hope that's not gonna be any time soon though. So i put yeah but a little later.

I voted for yes. i sometimes ache for a nother dog. especially when i see some adorable fuzbuckets up for adoption.
Ginger's Mom
12-22-2005, 06:15 AM
I would love another dog, but it just isn't practical right now. Now, when I go away I either take Ginger with me, or one of my neighbor's babysits her. I don't want to travel with two dogs, and I don't want to ask someone to walk three dogs at a time, or have to go out three additional times a day. So until I get a backyard where someone can just let the dogs out to play when I am not there the answer is no. But for the past month I have been craving another dog, so I said yes, I want one (but I am not getting one, *sigh*)
Not at this time. My two get along so well that I know introducing a third dog would do something to that bond. I have to say, though, that many times I have been tempted when I visit Petfinder, but in the end my good sense rules. :p

Kaige bumped my arm when I was voting & I accidently voted for "Not yet, but I'd like another sometime soon" instead of "No, I have enough dogs for now". Is he trying to tell me something that I don't know? LOL
I would LOVE another dog, but with Nanooks health failing & Kaige still being a puppy & going into shows in the future I am fine with what I have for now. BUT I WILL get another dog in a couple/few years from now.

My answer is yes, but not right now. I am at my limit in my apartment. Though once Andy and I are settled into a new place together, we plan to get Kia a playmate. :)

I would actually love a second dog, but not soon. Bijou is still a handful at 14 months, and we need her to be much calmer and more well-mannered before thinking of introducing a playmate (which will likely rev her up again, lol!). Additionally, with three cats and five people-kids, our home is busy and full -- we really enjoy the balance we have right now and it's important for us to simply enjoy this special time in our lives. If a second dog should find us and choose us in the future, we will happily accommodate him/her...if not, we have so much to be grateful for and will continue cherishing our silly cats and our funny Bijou.

I love and want just about every dog I see, but my limit's 3. So it's gonna be quite awhile before I get another dog.

I would love another dog, but not right now. Buddy is not fond of other dogs in his house/yard except Sierra, and Sierra will only allow Male dogs in our yard. So... 2 is a perfect number for me right now. (not to mention my house is too small for another dog)

Nope! I would actually love another dog but we are actually over the limit with our 5 (I think the limit is 3...I'm not exactly sure...). And I am going to college in the fall. My parents are forcing me to live in a dorm  :( So...My Aunt (hopefully) will be taking in Jack for me (she lives like a half hour from the college, my parents would not be able to handle him, lol) and when I transfer to a college closer to home in 2 years I will be back at home with all of them.

Eventually, when I've settled in a house after college. If I can't have Naomi I'll probably get a cocker pup and then rescue an older dog.

It's funny, for years before I moved out, I insisted that I would take Star with me and my mom said "No WAY!". Now that I'm not there to exercise and keep her enteratined all the time, she begs to pay my pet deposit so I can take Star and Wilbur. They've got so many behavioral issues though, I'm not up for taking on that kind of project right now.

We're good for now with two dogs. No more cats, though, Chow Chow was one of a kind, and we had almost 17 years together.

That was exactly the way we felt about our two...and then along came Spot. Of course, he was rescued with the idea he may not stay, but it became obvioulsy quickly he would not hurt the girls bond, but add to. Never, say never!!!

I would like another one but not until the "one" comes along. I would love to have a Maltese from a rescue or shelter. I have wanted a Maltese since I got Maggie and another little dog would be ok to handle. Another big dog like Grant is out of the question. He is enough to handle. :)

Yes!! I would love to get another dog but I don't think I could afford it right now with 2 dogs & a cat. When I'm done with graduate school, though, I'm getting another 2 or 3 corgis :D . Only 5 years to go!

You betcha! Health wise and financially I can't right now. Logan and I visit the local SPCA where I adopted her once in a while to say hi and I made a point of never going into the dog area because I would come out with another on the spot.

I voted yes because I actually am getting another dog early next year. I placed a deposit down at the beginning of the month on an unborn Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppy due on Jan. 4th. I am so excited I can barely keep it to myself. lol.

I would love the chance to bring anoher dog into my home.. but my parents would probably not like that much.. considering I pretty much suprised them with our last dog *Baby the great dane* 2 years ago.. I doubt they'll let me get away with that sorta thing again..
When I move out, I will get another dog for sure.. (if my living arrangements allow it)

Funny you should ask....
Last week John and I dogsat 2 bulldogs and a French Bulldog and today, my neighbor brought over her son's 6 week old pitbull puppy! I'm so tempted to adopt another dog that I begged John to talk me out of it, at least for the moment. And, better yet, Logan's been socializing with other dogs so often now, that she's adjusting so well and we think all will be perfect.
I hope to post all those pictures tomorrow (so many to chooe from)

It depands for me really. If when I move out my step mother lets me take Callie then no not for a while. If I don't get to take Callie then yes I'll be getting another dog because Jared has had a dog around the last 3yrs so I think he will be happier while I'm at school if he had another doggie and well me too lmao!

I'd like to get my own dog someday, but just don't have the $$ yet. In about 20 months I should have enough to get my own dog. However right now, I'm renting a basement apt & she has the sweetest pitty! He wont stop licking my face, following me around my apt, getting for a treat, sniffing ALL the things I'm taking out of boxes & walking on my boxes hehe
Hopefully by next weekend I'll be 100% moved in & can start walking him :)
