And all thru the bar,
Mario has stolen the keys to the cars.
The undies are hanging from the rafters overhead
And Lady thinks the couch is her bed.

Possum is waiting for the next snack
And the patrons are lined up at the door that's out back.
They bartender shows up and the choir does say..
Get that door open, It's almost Christmas day.

I held a finger up to my nose.
"what's the matter with you all, lately the bar doesn't close!"
To avert a riot, a scandal or stink...
I better get this mob some kinda cyber drink...

HEY NO PUSHING!! I am on it.

Since it's Christmas and you all should get what you want, there is no DOTD so order at will!

(INSERT "WILL" JOKES HERE)

I want to wish you all a Great Christmas and hope that 2006 shines for everyone....

I want to acknowledge Slick...We are with you.....

And David.....Damn colds! Lady's Human......take it easy on the wood pileand your back, O.K??.... and that frigging Orc.....I put him in the Lost and Found - as any Urukai would do, he made a mess of the place. sheesh!

Let's lower our Blood pressure this year...no names needed.. ;) Poor Debbie and her Hydral-leak problems. Everyone else seems to be doing OK....

On the good side.....Gini and Tonya.......

I was wondering if the Ginster was anywhere near that exploding airplane tires at Logan yesterday......knowing her, she went over the weight restrictions on the luggage...... :p ;) :o

And to the Zipster!

Congrats....

That hard work will pay off soon......and think about this!
You won't have to find a rich guy to marry.......

You'll marry a poor one that wants your brains!! !

I love you all.....and do I have to keep reminding you all that you Rock? :D

------------------------
And to the LURKERS.....come in for a drink....it is Christmas!

Barkeep the first round of drinks are on me!

I want to drink to all my friends hither and yon, human and non-human, whom I have come to love!

So a big cherry limeade (Mario, please let me drink it before you put your hand in it trying to fish the cherry out) for me and 4 cnt's for my gang.

Speaking of blood pressure, mine nearly hit the stroke mark yesterday when I killed my dvd player and the fuse box blew in this house. Luckily for me, the electricians were able to get the power back on but if it blows again, it means a new fuse box plus rewiring the house which my landlady won't do.
So please everyone keep my old house in your thoughts and prayers. :D

MOFF, I've met your friends Hither and Yon, what a couple of krazy characters :D I think a lovely glass of champagne would be great right now. Actually, even an ugly glass of champagne would work  Gini was worried about the cold New England weather and lookie! It's going to be a balmy day in the 40's around Boston  Thanks for the good thoughts Richard - I'll second that emotion!! I'm so sick and tired of junk food the vendors keep sending I think I'll fix something healthy for today's bar snack - hmmmm - let's compromise... how about chocolate dipped strawberries and fruit? I'll bring out one of those fancy dripping chocolate fountain things that are all the rage now! We can fix fruit kabobs! Mario can help!!

Hey everybody. :)

Is it really Wednesday already? Gee, the days just blend into each other when you don't have to go to work.

I think I'll just take a cup of hot lemon tea with a drop of brandy in it for now. It's still freezing cold here. Supposed to have a heat wave tomorrow - in the low 30's - woo hoo, break out the bikinis! (yeah, right  ) So if winter comes in like a lion, will it go out like a lamb?

Nice fire Karen, it looks so pretty with all the xmas decorations around here - so festive!

Think I'll just join Slick on the couch for awhile.......Slick, like Richard says, autopilot is a good thing, just make sure your landing gear is down so you don't crash. In the meantime, come snuggle close and put your head on my shoulder, they're strong.

Well, RedHedd I will trade you ... my furnace died yesterday so I have NO heat at home right now. The one good thing was that the furry gang was REAL cuddly last night and everyone wanted to sleep under the blankets.

Richard, I think I will have an Irish Coffee to warm me up (that first step out of the shower was "refreshing" this morning) and to help me keep my patience while waiting for the repair people

MOFF, check into any renter's rights organizations in your town. Sounds to me like finding a new place to live might be a blessing in disguise. Any landlord should be thrilled to have someone like you who pays her rent on time every month and doesn't cause problems. She will realize how good she had it with you once you're gone.

How 'bout some eggnog bartender....which, for some odd reason reminds me....thanks Richard! I opened your card in the car while Terry and I were on our way to a movie, so I had to explain why there was a dollar in it....and also what the picture of the ring was for......thanks. :p :D

I wish there was something I could (physically) do to help you out. :(

Greetings to all - happy pre-Christmas Eve!
I only (thankfully) had to work 1/2 a day and as soon as lunch is done, I'm going shoe shopping.

It's a blustery day here - suppose to make it into the 80s but doubt that it does. Feel free to send snow my way; I wanted a white Christmas, dangit!

Barkeep, a white xmas, please?

What!?!?! Me, I've got over 12,000 posts? Gee, I didn't even notice. :o

Thanks Richard, thanks everyone. Another non-nogless nog for me please.

Had a good day today, and got news the motorhome will be ready in the morning. So we're up at 5:00 am, leave at 6:00 am to get there by 7:30 am which means we can be on our way by 9:30 am at the latest. Yes, we decided to still head to Florida, but the panhandle instead of the Keys. So....we'll see how far we make it this time. If it breaks down again I'm going to just leave it sit on the side of the road and drive the Tracker home. ;) :)

Slick, hope you had a nice afternoon off. :) MOFF, maybe she knows the news but is finally realizing she's going to have to do something if she wants to continue to rent the place out. Zippy, we're supposed to have flurries tomorrow night so if you can make it here before then.... ;)

Don't know when I'll be able to check in again so just wanted to say Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

'Twas the night after thursday # 138
And the Bartender's tired,
His patrons are up late.

Whew! Santa's done with his shopping (Never trust that everything you ordered is IN the box)

Lady's passed out on the couch. (I think she's finally getting used to Mario, and vice versa)

T+P, good luck with the trip, I should have piped up earlier about the Hydraulic fluid viscosity, but Phred beat me to it. Hopefully everything's in order, driving back in the tracker would be a big disappointment.

Zippy, I'd mail you a box of snow, but it would be melted by the time it got to you! :D

MOFF, Zipster is right (of course) none of us will ever have to "go it alone" as long as we are here, pulling strings with "the Big Guy" and holding each other up. Congrats Debbie and safe and laughing trip and holiday to you! RICHARD, what kind of mischief are you getting our mascots into now?? HI PHRED!! How's tricks? Can I get you some broccoli? :p Oh, well how about some fruit kabobs? *sorry, just want to keep you around a while* ;) Love to you all and I'll check in this evening. We can sit around the fire and sip warm comfort and smile at each other waiting for Sandy Paws and the sleigh bells!

HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVE MORNING EVERYONE!!!

I'm feeling a bit perkier today. I posted why on my prayer thread!

I even managed to eat some veggie soup and a marshmallow last night (not together so don't go YUCK). I may even try eating again today!!! ;)

Still need the 7 up though. Do you have it in gallon buckets? :D

LoL! Thanks for all the snow offers... maybe if ya'll put it in zippy-lock bags and packed it in dry ice? (What is dry ice even used for? I know we used to get it at Halloween because it "smoked.") Aw well, it's the thought that counts! ;)

Funny story about "gallon buckets"....
Thursday night, a budget truck pulled up in front of our house and the UPS man delivered a package. (You heard that right; this year, the UPS men are driving budget trucks for some reason.)

We didn't recognize the sender and as it was addressed to dad, had to wait for him to get out of the shower to open it. Open it he did, and pulls out a gallon of Aloe Vera multi-purpose stuff! So, um... thanks to someone (still not sure who) for a gallon of Aloe Vera! lol

Good morning everyone! Didn't sleep much last night....on the phone to Randi at 3am....on the phone to Chris at 7am....tried to call Laurie at after that....went back to bed at 8am....now I have to get my butt in gear.

Heading on down to the post office to mail a few things to Pet Talkers... :o Gee, I guess it won't get there for Christmas. Duh!!!!

The weather here is nothing short of nasty. It's pouring buckets (sorry Zip... :D ) and it's one of those days where you don't want to get out of bed.

MOFF: I'm glad to see that you are a bit better. I'll check out the thread. Big {{{hugs}}} to you my friend.

One Spanish Coffee for the road please Richard. Well, actually the road doesn't drink so I'll have it for him.....

HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVE!!! Don't forget the milk and cookies for Santa.

NOT me! :)

Wonder if one of Dad's "Business Associates" sent the stuff?
MY Dad used to get "Gag Gifts" from some of his "Buddies" ...
some rather *Strange Stuff* got passed around! They often RE-gifted to
someone else the following year if it was really something memorable. :p

UPS GUY in a Budget Rental Ride???

Heard the other night on the news that UPS had to rent 7,000 trucks for the Christmas season - 7,000 trucks!!!! And that doesn't count the extra drivers they had to hire to drive those trucks.

Just checking in quick - got a signal that goes in and out at will. We're about to the KY/TN state line on I-24. Everything is good with the motorhome.....so far. ;) CJ has even settled down and is napping quietly with only spurts of meowing. Guess life is good again. :D

Hope you all have a very very merry Christmas. Stay safe and stay healthy! :)
