Some of you know this jerk attempted to steal my sisters handbag off her, she resisted and hurt her ankle, at first it was a sprain, however it did not get much better so she went to a specialist and found out it is actually broken, so hence a cast was put on it, however she continued to be in a lot of pain, and I only heard yesterday that infact my poor sister has a blood clot in her leg, yes i know this can be so serious and infact deadly, however she spent last night in hospital and it appears that all will be ok now, it is a pretty bad one apparently, she has to endure daily injections in her stomach for seven to ten days, will be on blood thinning medication for six weeks, and a cast will not be put on, so poor thing is really paying the price for being diligent and trying to save her wordly goods.
I wish they had caught this jerk, just look what my sister has had to go through because of that low-life, I also got such a shock, to think if they had not got it in time my sister might not have been with me anymore, it is scary stuff and I am so thankful she is going to be ok.

It is a holiday gift from God that she is still with you. The local paper should write up her story, maybe somebody saw something or knows someone ... and in any case, it could serve as a lesson to others.

I agree with Karen a news story could find witnesses and find the jerk.

I hate to think of anyone going through all of this because some low-life felt the need to try and take something that didn't belong to them.
I'm glad you sister is being cared for and that she is still here to tell her story. I hope they catch the creep who did this to her.

How very scary!!! Yes, I agree that the newspaper should print an ad looking for any information into what ignorant person caused all of this!
Thank God your sister got to the doctor in time!!

Yes I know she is so lucky to have got there in time, the thing is I blame the medical profession a little here, because on the Friday when her leg was really sore she was supposed to have an ultrasound to see if her archilles tendon was damaged and guess what no technican available, it would have been picked up that day instead of three days later, at which she was be put in a high risk situation, that is not good enough IMO.
Unfortunately my sister did not even get a good look at the jerk, so I don't think he will ever be caught,no other witnesses as such, by the time anyone helped he had gone.

OMG, I can't believe it's broken. Please give your sister a big hug from everybody at Pet Talk. I'm sorry she has to get those shots. They must be painful, but necessary. Your sister will be fine. I will send her positive vibes right now.
I hope they catch that jerk, lock him up and throw away the key.
Take care.

That is terrible. Prayers on the way that she will get better soon.
What goes around comes around.... that guy will get his somewhere in the end. Probably a lot worse than what your sister did.

Yikes! I'm sorry it turned out to be broken. Scary! I remember how scared I was when I heard Andy had a small clot in his lungs after surgery. I'm glad they caught it in time. Many hugs and healing vibes for your sis.

Unfortunately she is still in a lot of pain, the injections are no fun either and have made her tummy all bruised, and she is feeling depressed, because she can do so little, now keep in mind my sister is the type of person who can not sit still for five minutes, so it will be hard on her, I hope she starts to feel a bit better as the days go by,not a nice experience.
Buttercup if in doubt get it checked out, severe sprains are extremely painful, I have had four sprains on one ankle and the last was very bad, so I know the pain you are feeling, however if you are worried go back, my sister's break was not picked up initially, so you never know, sorry to hear you are suffering, I know how sore they can be.
