LOL! I've done it too, it happens mostly when I'm tired. Also when I change from PC to Mac - as you can see here, the backbotton is right under the close botton.

I've done that, too. Though I usually click on the picture while holding down the shift key so it opens in a new window. That way it won't matter if I close it ;)
