Tubby & Peanut's Mom

When I had my surgery, I got a bouquet of balloons from a very dear friend. Within 5 minutes of being in the house, a certain little orangie boy found them and decided he just adored the ribbons that tied the balloons to the cute bear that came with. I had to trim all the excess ribbon off so he wouldn't eat it and the first few nights I put the bear and the balloons in the closet and shut the door so he wouldn't eat the ribbons while I was sleeping. One night I forgot to put them in the closet and the next day nothing seemed amiss, so I just left them out.

Well.....Sunday we wake up and see this.

Upon further investigation, we find this.

And another shot.

Appears that the one that was set free must have been real similar to the yellow one in the pic - hanging on by a thread - and CJ finally determined that it needed to be set free, so he released it! Terry is always worried they will get caught in the ceiling and never come down, so he somehow grabbed the string and tied something to it to bring it down. Immediately CJ was all over it again, and chewing on the ribbon.....
What's wrong meowmie?

so we immediately released it again so it went up to the ceiling and he can't get his little chompers on the ribbon. I'm sure that very soon the others will all join this one, and when they start losing air, we'll have some real fun keeping track of all of them. :D Although as soon as they're within reach of that certain little orangie boy, we'll have to cut the ribbons off and they'll hit the ceiling again for awhile. This should bring some good entertainment for a good month to come! :D

Here's a picture of the culprit pretending to be innocent.

CJ says hes innocent!!!
It was the Mice that did the Bad Things and he chased them away, before you could catch them.
Thats what the Found Cats always say.
The MICE DID IT!

Ohh, the poor helping baby was simply wishing to decorate the house in a festive manner and he is having such an accusation cast against him!! its an outrage.

It is obvious to me sweetie that you quite rightly think the balloon should be as high as possible so as its easier for everyone to see the pretty colours and the way it shines. How thoughtful and considerate of you! :D No doubt you are resting before undertaking the very hard work that is required to set the rest of them free ;)

So far this is still the only one set free. The yellow one is still hanging on by a thread though. Hopefully they'll all stay intact until we come back from our Christmas vacation. Don't want a bunch of balloons cavorting about the house while we're gone. ;) :D
