My Zebra finches laid eggs (advice needed)

My two zebra finches have laid some eggs. I hadn't planned on them have babies or anything. Well this morning Honey (female) did not want to get out of her bed/nest. I thought she was just being a sleepy head. Well I ate breakfast and came in to give them fresh food and water when I saw two little eggs in her nest. Her nest is just a little basket with some torn up socks (my brother's GF idea) and now some nesting material that I bought at Petsmart. I have bought a book on finches and it gave me a list of foods to buy once the eggs hatch. They told me to buy:
Ant pupae
Egg Food
Wax moth larvae
daphnia
mealworms
chickweed etc.
So I am asking for any advice on this subject. I was also wondering if you can tell me where I can find these things needed. If you need more details I will gladly give them to you. Thanks- Monica:)

the best thing for you to do right now, would be to phone around town.. phone a couple different petstores ask if they carry those products etc..

Aww, good luck with your babies! :) Finches are beautiful. My sister had a pair, which she was told was 2 females, that ended up breeding but the eggs never hatched.

I know you have to culture Daphnia (it's like a little water flea), it's also fed to baby fish strangely enough -_-... and you have to order it. All of the items, except for mealworms and egg food which are at pet stores, have to be special-ordered as far as I know. It sounds like you could also feed grindal worms and white worms(which need to be ordered and cultured). There's also a good chance that you'll need to hand-feed the babies in order for them to survive, I have a friend who breeds Cockatiels and hand-feeds all of her babies for the best health and for socialization. It's VERY hard and demanding. Luckily, there are hand-feeding formulas that you can buy, and usually if you add the powder to your finches regular seed they'll instinctively feed it to their babies.
