I believe that there are very few cats who could handle themselves properly in the kind of enviornment that you are exposed to, Elphin. I know neither of mine would be good "lap" cats for the sick or elderly. So congratulations and "thank you" to you and your mom, for all that you do to make life a little brighter for those that need you so much. :D

If I ever am in a retirement home, I cannot think of anything that I would like more than a visit from you, Elphin. How proud you must make your Mom as you gently visit each person. There are not many cats that could do your job as well as you do.

Everyday you selflessly perform your "Elphin" magic, brightening the days of those in need of a bit of comfort and cheer. You have such important work. My dad was in a nursing home for four years. They had a resident cat which brought him much joy and comfort. I wish every nursing home had a cat. Congratulations on being a very special Cat of the Day today!:)
