Help! I am working on a portrait of a black kitty... and the reference is pretty hard to see what he really looks like because its all black. I need photos of black kitties where I can see features and see how the hair is glossy, etc.
I attached the reference photo. I got the grey kitty down pretty well, I need help on the black one.

Umm I know there aren't a lot of GOOD ones up yet but I will certainly go through adn upload some better ones after I post this!!
Mochi was a kitten I had about a year ago but became very aggressive/violent and I came home from school one day and my mom told me she dropped him off at the shelter! :(

He was born white and turned black! :o
Anyway as I said I will get some better pics up here within the next 15 minutes or so!

Thank you Lori! I will work on it tonight and scan it tomorrow. Of course the client will be the ones to tel me how close I came to making it look like their cat, but this DEFIANTELY helps!
I am going to be a busy arteest this week -- SIX portraits to do, and my goal is to get them done between now and Thanksgiving. Am I nuts or simply determined? :D

I see what you mean, the black cat in the photo looks like a 2 dimentional blob of all black.
But my black is a long hair cat, so he might not be much help.

I will have to scan the Picture of Ebony, the little Cat,that I got about 8 years ago from Animal Rescue from an abandoned Lab.
He had been blinded in an experiment, ans was here about 18 Months.
He was a sad Cat,and I hardly saw him.
He was in the Bathtub in a the Cat Castle with the Bathtub sectioned off by blankets.
He ran from me,but Scrappy and Fluffy could visit him.
He took ill,and the Animal Rescue took him to thier Vet where he passed on.
Little Ebony Angel,I will finally get to see You,One Fine Day.

Hi
It looks great. I know I am late but here is a photo of my Graycie. She loves to lay in odd places. She loves to drink out of glasses instead of her bowl. She doesn't get any guiness though. She is so much fun. She is such a good kitty.
