Where the Doctor suggests that if the Lady, with Cat Allergies lives near a river, that he will supply a bag?
What sort of nonsense is this,to be put on TV.
Advocating Animal Cruelty.
Its no wonder why I no longer watch Network TV.
Absolutely Intolerable/
I sent a letter to ABC,and will soon get a form letter back.
Throw those writers in a river.
Second thought,too much pollution.

Gary, thats what House does... he's told people to throw their kids out the windwo.... its supposed to be pithy and witty, and makes him the type of character you love to hate.

If thats what passes for wit on Network TV,I am glad that I no longer have Cable.
Right is Right, and thats just plain WRONG!
Just CRAP,pure and simple.
That God,I have tapes of Good TV Shows.
BAH On ABC.

Uh, I don't know about the rest of you, but around here "House" airs on the Fox station.

I understand that you are upset about it but ... come on. It was funny.
If he would have said dog I would have laughed the same.
I don't think it was aimed at promoting animal cruelty.
It's the character he plays: annoying doctor you'd want to smack with a wooden spoon!
Every show is offensive to one person or another. Thank goodness there are such diverse TV shows.
We should be more tolerant, in my opinion.
You should see what is on TV in Europe. It would be enough to make any seasoned street walker blush!
I really think TV in the States is very lame and prudish compared to what is broadcasted anywhere else in the world..... but that's just me. Sorry you were offended.

Fox ,ABC both purveyors of such Garbage.
Its scant wonder that Children who watch this end up the way they do.
And with no cable,I can miss all these things.
That makes my day.
I must be so out of touch to think that there was a time when Characters on TV actually stood for something.
I think that Im better off,in my world of the past.

it's Fox. I no longer watch Arrested Development after they had an episode where one of them was throwing cats off a boat as bait for sharks -- that was supposed to be funny? Write to FOX (not ABC) as FOX seems to be the network pumping out this garbage. I didn't watch House last night either - I've grown addicted to ABC's Commander in Chief.

I have to agree with Carmen (Beeniesmom) that House's character is just a pompass butthead that you're supposed to love to hate. No, the comment about the cat wasn't funny to us animal lovers, but there are worse offenders out there, in my opinion. Should Africans be offended that House didn't like the fact that the patient doctor was saving them from TB? Should breast cancer patients be offended by the fact that he used his handicap to apologize to the female patient? Should people who use canes be offended for that matter?

I personally would have been more offended by the episode of Arrested Development (had I seen it) as it seemed to have actually been showing them throwing the cats into the water.

It's just a fact of life that some people don't like cats. I, personally, will never understand why, but you know what they say about opinions, they're like (a word that rhymes with) grasspoles, everybody has one. We can't change the world to make them stop joking about being cruel to animals.

Either way, I'm sorry you were offended, Gary. Not everyone is akin to cats as you are, unfortunatley.

Just my 2 cents.

I don't have a tv (or want one) and I guess tv shows here would be a bit different too but I don't find anything about cruelty to animals of any type to be funny.
