SAmmy J never jumps on you if you lay on the floor, or wrestles with you..I have been doing it with him, since I have been feeling better and can breath a bit better now..whew, im all over the floor and he thinks im a nut..lol..
will he get to know what to do if I keep it up..(you know getting on the floor and carring on like an idiot..lol.) I have also been running with him some, notmuch as I cant breath that good, but I figure Ill get better as I go along.
Mostly I chase him..I cant get him to chase me..any pointers??? :D

Umm, maybe not. But that may not be a totally bad thing. How does he play? Does he chase balls? Play tug of war, any of that stuff? Some dogs will back off if play becomes too aggressive or manic, it is just their personality. If he has a way of playing that he enjoys, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

SammyJ will go get something if I thow it, and bring it back and play tug..
the only times he gets real hyper is when i come home from some where, or if I say go outside..lol..he jumps all over me, but mostly he lays around..he seems to enjoy the palying I have been doing with him just dont know how to react to it..I think ill use a treat out side and try the get me sammyj thing..
I am really a very calm person, esp since i have a hard time breathing ,but excersise is helping that and the medication..so hes been use to it being a very clam quit place..lol..of course we get Yoley on the 4th, so we will see what she is like..lol..I think i have caused Sammy J to be so calm since I never was real active with him..lol..going to keep trying as it is good for both of us and we seem to be creating a tighter bond..and hes a bit more bouncy..lol..Thanks :D

Actually all of the things you are wanting him to do teach aggression. I still do these things with my dogs and just make sure they have manners while doing it and give them lots of socialization. Just be sure that you know that!

Anyway, I'm not sure there's really a way to teach him to do that. It seems like more of an instinct, but I could be wrong.

I actually have had to teach my dogs not to do that, I can't stand it. I don't think there's a way to teach Sammyj to though, maybe he just doesn't enjoy it...
