I know I haven't been posting ... but I wanted to share my latest rescue story and a few pictures :)

A little over 3 weeks ago I was searching petfinder.com for APBT puppies, and saw this little guy, I contacted the rescue and received the whole sad story. The owner was arrested for fighting pitbulls, the judge ordered the mother to be destroyed that same day, even though the mom was sweet and friendly (from my understanding). However there was also a litter of 6 that the judge ordered to be euthanized that day as well. Animal Control talked to the judge and said they knew of a puppy a rescue that might be able to take them. The judge let AC make the call, the rescue agreed to take them, however the judge gave them 3 weeks to place all 6 puppies or they would be euthanized :(
The rescue was only allowed to take 3 puppies in at a time due to the judge's order so after adopted my little guy, I immediately began to post on other forums and such and we were able to get the other 2 girls adopted. The rescue was then able to go and get the remaining 3 puppies, 2 more were adopted and last Saturday when we drove down to South Carolina a 10 hour roundtrip the last little male was adopted that morning. I was so happy to hear all 6 had been adopted because this past Monday was the deadline.

Here is Orlando :) ... He is 9 weeks old today

The first 2 are my favorite

Be very cautious of him around other dogs as he gets older. If his mother's owner was breeding fighting dogs then it's going to be a crap shoot as to how game he is and if he is "hot" or "cold". Are you new to the breed cause if not then I don't want to sound like I'm preaching to the choir. ;)

Oh, yes, I agree with Pit Chik.

But he sure is a cutie-pie.

Thanks everyone :)

No, I'm not new to the breed, although this is the first one I've owned. He is already neutered, and I'm already well prepared for what may happen. I've done foster/rescue work for almost 10 years now and have had more than my share of experiences from different breeds.
Orlando will be well socialized and once he has his last 2 set of shots, he will begin puppy daycare and training ;)
