... don't be surprised, but I'm getting more and more problems with my computer. I don't know how long it's going to last before it breaks down completely; it's really weird tonight (I think this time, it's the monitor).

I know this machine is old and I should have bought a new one a long time ago, but I just don't have the time to set everything up. Hope I can take two weeks off in November, then I should finally have the time to care for this.

(I know this isn't cat related, but Cat General is where I'm posting most of the time, so I thought I'd post this here, just in case I disappear for the next weeks).

I hope nothing happens too bad, because I just went through a VERY rough 12 days of not having my computer running. It was TERRIBLE! I had to go to the public library just to check in with Pet Talk whenever I could find the time! I don't think I realized how much I would miss it until it actually became unavailable. If we don't hear from you, I'll keep you in my prayers until you are able to come back on! :) ;)

Used computers are very cheap now, if you don't need all the fancy new stuff I'd suggest that you get two used pcs then you would have a spare for moments like this. I couldn't imagine life without a computer that's why I have a house full of them.

Well, I want a new computer anyway, this one is so old that there's still Win98 running! :o

I had planned to buy a new computer anyway, but now the monitor seems to die, too. The picture is kind of "jumping" back and forth, it's pretty annoying. And it's getting worse with every passing day. :(

I'm always getting so nervous when it comes to new computers, I hate it when I have no online connection, and I hope everything will work with the new one! I think I will order it tomorrow, and set it up next week when I'm at home. Gotta take one or two days before everything will be reinstalled, and I hope my dsl modem will work without any problems with the new one! :rolleyes:
