View Full Version : Thursday 129- Why ME???
RICHARD
10-19-2005, 12:20 PM
This has been my day, so far.
I was 'rear ended' and almost pullled over...all in the space of 30 minutes.
Some gal tapped my bumper, I gave her a pass and told her that that was our "accident for the year"......FIDO!
A few miles later I pass a Jeep, as I pull ahead I look in the rear view and I see that it has a red light under the grill that goes on and off. No problem.
A mile later the red light goes on, a blue light goes on and the headlights start to flash.
It's an undercover gal........I pull over and she motions me to keep driving.
Try the cigarette lighter, next time.
She hangs back until we get to the stop light..when I get the green arrow to go she rolls her head on the head rest to look at me....I just shook my head and drove on...
The gals I worked with came in to figure out how we are gonna keep work caught up as I take two days off later on....
More drama....
It's straight shots for me today......

Whiskey, neat and I am woman, hear me roar!
Why me? Richard, it is ALWAYS you!!
That was me bumping you - off of the Frapper map. I posted my name and my marker pushed you into the background. Sorry about that!
Here is another drink - now look, try to go easy on those girls in the office.
Laurie - I bet he didn't have any breakfast either - maybe we should rustle up some grub for this boy!

Ha ha, same with Mary (mruffruff) and me. I was wondering where my shout out went, I had to click all over Mary's to get mine. Ah, well, Mary's nice, so, I don't mind! :)
I need a drink, too! I just got completely excited because I'm going to attempt to get the money together to go to a convention in December to meet the cast of a show I just discovered and a movie I've just seen twice in the theater. I'm almost a Trekkie. Yikes. So, yeah, I need a downer, quick, before I go over the moon. Jager, straight and cold, for me!

Load me up with cherry vanilla cokes please? And catnip tea for the kids!
I got a letter from Social Security. They are trying to decide whether to do a review on my disability. THEY say, I'll be notified in 90 days. Sure! Last time it took them a year to decided they didn't need me to take a physical exam.
At least if they do, they get to pay for it.
Been trying for days to figure out the new Medicare prescription drug thingy.
DID THEY DELIBERATELY TRY TO MAKE OUR LIVES MORE CONFUSED???
IF SO THEY CERTAINLY SUCCEEDED!!!
ONION RINGS!!!! I NEED ONION RINGS!!! LOTS AND LOTS OF ONION RINGS!!! :D

I think this has just been an all around bad day.
I've been going around all day with people that *think* they're superior to me . . . just because they're men & twice my age.
How hard is it to believe that I can be a professional and successful at the age of 24??? People still treat me like I'm in high school and that this small business that I own & operate is just a class project that I do in my spare time.

I need something . . . something strong . . . but preferablly fruity. :D
A *red headed slut* sounds good about now!

Basically transcribed that means black licorice, peach and cranberry? Hmm....I think I'll take the other version of the red headed slut....no, not you Redhedd, but I'd be glad partake with you while you enjoy your diet peach Snapple. ;) That used to be Terry's all time favorite drink - the Snapple that is....gee, I just seem to be digging myself in deeper here....
Amazingly the boss was here ALL day today, but it wasn't bad at all. He stuck to himself in his office and left me alone. I can deal with that.

Sorry your day has not went well, Richard, maybe it will get better.
Hope everybody else is doing okay today.
Willie :)
Richard - you aren't supposed to eat and drive you duffus
Could I please have a good old rum and coke with a slice of lime.
Do you have dark rum by chance? Purser's would be excellent!

Was having this discussion with the produce guy at Whole Foods last night - (when you own a bunny, the produce guys become your friends). Some days are much longer than 24 hours long. Richard, your day sounds like it has been at least a day-and-a-half long already!
Been having one of those kinda days myself!
For no good reason other than I deserve one, strawberry frappe for me, please! Does this bar "do" ice cream drinks? ;)
Some days, we decided, also have many fewer than 24 hours in them. Perhaps in the end they balance out!

Richard,
I think your boss is definitely headed for postal management, so I can sympathize. As far as the drive in goes, I think the worst drive in I ever had was getting pulled over at 4 am for exceeding the speed limit by a considerable amount, I'll leave the details out of this (if you want to know PM me), but let's just say I was considerably later for work than I expected.
Soooooo
Join me in a couple shots of Old Bushmills? Good Irish whiskey warms the heart, and it makes great Irish coffee to boot.

Pass me a drink!
Friday I'm headed off to Albuquerque to play a rugby tournament for lots of fun, drinking and maybe a black eye or two.
This is the year we are finally going to beat the Air Force women's team, I can feel it!

I would venture to say there's more than one head hurtin' this morning ;) What we need is some easy on the tummy food to absorb all that booze!! Well, maybe some food - with some hair of the dog that bit you of course. Bloody's sound good this morning. The T juice or V-8 juice has vitamins too. Speaking of Bloody's - I had best give Slick a call this morning. Don't we miss her?!! I certainly do. hmmm, food. SOS on homemade biscuits? Sticks to the ribs doncha know. Come on Mario, let's air this place out and get a fresh breeze wafting through. mmmm-GUD boy ;)

Sounds great Willie, yeah.. Mario's a bit hungover too I'm afraid but he's putting up a brave front ;) The fresh air is helping. I don't mind the booze while I'm drinking but I hate the leftover smell of alcohol in the morning ~ YUCKY! Biscuits and baked apples with cinnamon will add a lovely touch I think. Good coffee Willie! *care for a shot of Bailey's in it?*

Would love it, Laurie, give me a shot. Still got to go for a walk this morning, I get so restless, I just start walking from one end of this darn trailer to the other end! So I might as well do my walking outside, so I don't disturb my sleeping husband in his recliner!

RICHARD,
Did you go home and change your underwear after that little episode?? LOL!! One thing they taught us in the Auxiliary State Police is...be careful ,cuz you never know who you're talking to, or calling "FIDO" or flipping off. You just proved their theory!
Give this man a TRIPLE!!! Make mine a double cherry vodka. I'm sick of packing!!!

Biscuits and baked apples with cinnamon....mmmmm.....gosh Laurie, you come up with the best breakfasts! Now if only Slick were here and we could add some Baileys to our coffee......yep, sure do miss her.....
What's the matter Mario? Oh, you're sad that Slick has been gone too and want to offer her some of your cherries? Awww....what a sweet boy you are.
Tray, I'll go for a walk with you! I heard there was a really nice creek down behind Thursdays, but I've never had a chance to check it out. Care for a little morning hike? We can put our coffee in one of those "bladder" thingys that hikers use with a tube going right to our mouths. Infused coffee....that aughta get us going. ;) This will really perk up our appetites too so we can really devour those biscuits and baked apples with cinnamon when we get back.

I swear to george.
I cannot sit by and NOT tell you all...
I GOT PULLED OVER THIS MORNING!
Burbank's finest.
Speeding- 7 miles over, upside down registration sticker, 'ticking' the center line and a hangy thing hanging from the rear view mirror.
No ticket. Just the regulation hassle...
That means I am going to jail tomorrow...
I do have a witness to this, my nephew, so If you think I am kidding!!!

Snow!? Whats that? We hardly ever get any of that stuff! It was in the 80s here today, though it is supposed to get down in the 40s in the next few nights.
I'm thirsty, recommend something to quench my thirst. Perhaps a beer for me and my sweet buddy, Mario?

Ours usually starts on Halloween its funny to see fairies with long johns on under the costume.
I always think of Willie and Mario with such fondness. Isn't it wonderful that she lets us babysit Mario so often? That boy sure does love his cherries!
It's late - no drink, thanks - just dropped in to say hi - before calling it a night.

".. fairies with long johns.." *oh puleeease don't let me go there* :p Let's ask Willie to allow Mario to fly to Canada with us. He's always good for a few free beers from the attendents! Oh wait, we are the attendents. Well heck, let's bring him along anyway. Slick would never say no to Mario - hee hee Hey, we haven't heard from Catland recently either but I hear someone from Oregon won the $340 mill Oh JUUUUULIE? Okay, for everyone in the bar who misses Slick's bailey's, I'll quit bogarting and bring mine from my personal stash.
If thursday's goes to canada, you'll have to stop by and say hello, we're only about 200 miles south of montreal. I'm not going to Canada again, I don't mind the mounties, it's the US border customs I always wind up having problems with.
(Okay, office, I'm driving a big camoflage colored truck with US Army all over it, I'm carrying US Army equipment, and I'm dressed in this funny camoflage suit, and you're saying you need PROOF OF MY CITIZENSHIP??????????)
On that note, never, ever argue with customs agents. :D
