How do you view cat hair?

Everywhere I look???

The other day I went for a pedicure and had on a black skirt. The manicurist...who speaks VERY little english said...."Puppy?" It took me a minute to understand what she meant....I replied..."kitties!"

I guess I view it as a part of living with cats. I just try to keep the house as clean as I can, knowing that there will still be some cat hair around. :)
I somehow missed the poll the first time. I voted for "On Top of It," but I'm really somewhere in between that and the next one down the list.

Quite frankly, I'm a bit suspicious of someone who doesn't have SOME cat hair on them. :D

I'm on top of it. I have to be, with four persians, two chinchilla, one silver tabby, and a black one. Having carpets in a real pain, and an absolute must is a good vacuum, I seem to wear them out every couple of years. Constant grooming helps, but not as much as I would like. ;)

Since we did some major remodeling and redecorating last fall I've been staying on top of it. I discovered a new way to remove the hair from furniture. I spray lightly with Febreeze and then rub off over the furniture with my hands. The hair rolls up easily. At first my hands would get a little sore but now I do this about twice a week and it doesn't take long at all. I think it's a great way to remove the hair and freshen the house. The hardest thing is Richard's solid navy blue recliner. The fabric likes to hold onto the hair and with it being solid blue the hair really shows up.

I also sweep once or twice a day and vacuum every 2-3 days. I do the Febreeze trick on my area rugs about twice a month to remove what my vacuum misses. It's amazing what I get up sometimes. It think 90% of it is Rumor's hair.

Honestly, although I don't have cats, whenever I visit Orion I HATE it! It sticks to EVERTHING. My dog's hair I can just wipe it off myself, however Orion's fur sticks to me and always seems to get in my eyes or my nose and itches the crap out of me. :( I don't know if I have some sort of allergy towards cats but cat hair bothers my eyes and nose to no end.

Of course, that doesn't stop me from kissing him and petting him all over.

When someone says something about the kitty hair on my clothes, I just smile... :D and reply, "Well this way I take a little of my girls with me wherever I go!" :p

Sammy's fur is everywhere in our house. I try to brush him regularly, and each time, I tell him that I have enough hair to make a new Sammy, but he still sheds with the best of them. I take it off my clothes when it's terribly obvious, but for the most part, it's just an accessory now. :o

My hubby obsesses over it. He'd carry a lint brush in his pocket, if he could get away with it.

I do try to keep it off the furniture at least.

I cannot say I keep on top of it, I should really because of my allergies,Ash is the shedder here mostly, well it is his light grey hairs that one finds everywhere, he loves to sit on the dining room chairs, not just one but every single one of them, so I do my best to keep those clean, as I think of other people coming in and not wanting to leave with cat hair all over them, I am afraid it is just one of those things if you own kitties, It does bother me if I am going out somewhere and get it on my good clothes, and i tend to like wearing a lot of black, which is like a magnet to Ashe's grey fur, but a lint roller usually does the trick, must get myself a new one, I know Lexie sheds but i never really see her fur anywhere, of course if I owned white clothes or furniture I am sure one would.

Cat hair???? WHERE???

Everything I own is perfectly insulated with cat hair and I wouldn't have it any other way. :p

Not much you can do about it, I guess... LOL What would our homes be without cat hair? (and the cats attached to them ;))

I voted "half hearted": we have several lintrollers, but I only use those if I going out ..... sometimes I ever forget. I don't mind having cathair on the furniture, it is normal here ;) :)

Yesterday I went shopping and forgot to put on a "clean" t-shirt. Oh my, some people really stared at me  . To the cashier I said "I have 3 cats :D ;)

I even bought one of these the other day and love it!

I don't mind it that much. The only time I get frantic is when we're having company and I see it on the drapes on the family porch or on the couch in the great room. Then I get my handy-dandy lint roller and start rolling!

I'm sure there is a bit of cat hair on all my clothes, but hey, that's life!

I checked *on top of it.* I pretty much try to keep a cat hair free home but of course one can ever be totally cat hair free no matter how hard one tries. The day my son got married I told him and all of his ushers and best man DO NOT SIT DOWN ANYWHERE! LOL! I didn't feel like having to get orange and white cat hair off of numerous BLACK tuxedos!

This past weekend I moved out my bed and vacuumed underneath. Let's just say it had been a while and, well, the kitties often nap under there. I am embarrassed to say what my vacuum cleaner picked up in the dirt cup. Would you believe it was 100% full of a combination of orange and white hair! Now where could that have come from? LOL!

I voted "On top of it".I try my hardest to keep the hairs under control.I must admit that it don't bother me that much..what do you expect having a furry animal around. Not much you can do about it.Yes,sometimes I wear my cat on my sleave ;) .I also try to avoid dark colors when buying things, for they highlight the fur that attaches to it

Cat hair? It's part of the furniture and I wouldn't have it any other way! Just did the annual clean of the insides of the computers the other day and there was a fair bit of cat hair in there too.

Just keep in mind it's not for big jobs, but it sure does the trick with pet hair, dust, etc.! I'm very happy with it.

I'm somewhere between 'Cat Hair? Where?' and 'Half-Hearted'.

I sometimes use a lint roller on myself to get some of the hair off my work pants before I leave for work, but that's about it.

I vaccuum once a month. :o

For the most part, I ignore the pet hair that dominates my furniture.

Though these habits will change when Andy and I get a place together. Or else he'd end up in the hospital again.

With 3 Golden Retrievers and 1 Labrador Retriever, who constantly shed, I don't even notice cat hair anymore. Really!!! :o Yesterday, Butter was sitting in my lap and I had on a black shirt and I did have white hair on me, but that's the first time I've even noticed it in a while! :o Funny how the dog hair has overtaken everything and that's what we're looking for these days and never see hair from Mimi or Butter! LOL!!

Oh, to hell with it. Don Juan's hair shows up on just about any surface: dark hairs for light colors, light hairs for dark colors, ticked hairs for in-between surfaces.... Come spring shedding season, I'll brush hair off him by the cupful. You'd think he'd go bald, but noooo.

If company's coming, I'll take a length of package tape and go over the rug in the living room.

Zerlina's hair is short and very fine, so it just adds to the general accumulation of house dust. :o

I voted on top of it but I am a bit prone to obsessive I guess - now that we have the six cats. But, there is still cat hair on me all the time and it does not bother me much. Two grandbabies in the house makes me notice it more I think :o

I have a good vacuum and we use it every few days - and like Shady, we wear out vacuums pretty often and this newest one is a Hoover WindTunnel - high powered and it works GREAT!! I also have three lint rollers around to use.

Lori I will have to try your Febreze trick because I love to use that anyway :)

Missy was telling me about a new Swiffer Power Sweep - something like that - and I will have to look into that. I have a really lightweight vacuum that I keep near the kitchen and I use that on floors but the rest of the house is carpet. It is only a few years old so I still try to keep it really clean. When it wears out - I want PERGO!!! :D

If I feel like it I'll vaccum it up and use the lint roller, but if not that's ok too. I usually keep a cover on the furniture that I don't want their hair all over.
