I loved my Mickey. We lived in a normal suburbs at the time, my cat Mickey was about 2, he was so cute, he would leave every morning, come home every night, when, as you guessed, he never came home one night. We weren't scared because every once and a while he would stay out over night, but would come back the next day, but he didn't come back  . Then we got worried. He was always my cat and would sleep right next to me in my bed, so I was freaking out. :o . I was so worried I would go out side at night with a flash light and look, but I finally relized he wasn't coming back. After that I decided to make a memorial for him by carving a stone and buying some stuff and getting some flowers and making a scaled down linkoln memorial with a cat. Mickey was white with some grey areas. I might eventually put a picture of him up. He was always so soft... *sob sob*:((. I miss him so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im sorry about Mickey :(
As I was saying in another thread, the not knowing can really get to you.
We had one that never came home, we looked for months.
He came to us as a stray, we took him in, vetted him and then he was gone.
I always wondered where / what  then I just told myself, he must of moved on, or went back to where he come from.
I am sorry for your loss. How long has he been gone?
Im sending thoughts of comfort for you today.

I would never give up hope.
Once Moose The Magnificent disappered, for nine weeks, and I was so sad.
I kept looking out the window,to see where he was.
Then I prayed,to our Lord for Moose to come home.
Then I looked out the Window, and a miracle occured.
There was My Moose!
Like he had just stepped for fresh air.Prayer never hurts,we pray that Micky will come home.

 We didn't give up hope for 3 MONTHS!!!!! It has been about a year, and we moved so really there is nothing I can do about it! Trust me, I never give up hope unless it is hopeless.................

WWWWHHHHOOOOOAAAAAA, easy there Grunt0407. No need to be mad at what was said.

First off, you NEVER mentioned in your first post how long your Mickey has been missing. We just assumed it was recently, that's the ONLY reason some people said not to give up hope, which is what we all say about a cat that has been missing for a short time.

Now that you have mentioned you've searched for 3 months, it has been about a year since he's been gone and that you have moved since, it is easier for us to understand why you decided to make a memorial in his honor.

I am so sorry that you never found your beloved Mickey and no matter where he is, I'm sure he knows that he was well loved by you. I know how heartbreaking it must be for you, but try to think that he is somewhere safe and sound and that he will never forget you. For some unknown reason, he just couldn't make it back to you. Treasure the sweet memories that you have of him and that he will always live on in your heart.

I cetainly meant no offense,as I thought that Mickey was just lost recently.
And Moose, who somehow got into an empty house,I just used as an example that a Cat can be lost, for months, and still make it home.
I meant to spread hope, and I apologize,if any offense was taken.
And where Mickey is I pray, that he is happy.
