How stunning you look in your Dog of the Day photo, the beautiful Virginia countryside your background! You must surely be in your element there on the rolling hills of Virginia, running, jumping, herding, yelping up a storm:D And I bet you just shine at agility too! You shelties are such accomplished athletes! Yes, you sure are living the good life, Dusty! But for sure, nothing compares to the 9 wonderful years of unconditional love and loyal companionship you've shared with your proud person!:) I wish for you both many, many more years of shared love and friendship!:)

Thank you so much for your kind comments about Dusty. Unfortunately, Dusty passed away on May 25th this year from an insulin pancreatic tumor. I had submitted his picture and bio before he got sick. It was bittersweet to see him honored as Dog of the Day. We miss him terribly and sometimes the void in our life is unbearable. He wasn't just a great dog. He was a cherished member of our family.
From the comments made from people that view this site, I know that you feel the same about your pets. Thank you for the stories you write about your babies. They brighten my day and make me smile. Most of all, they remind me of Dusty and the love he had for his family.
We will be so glad to see him at Rainbow Bridge. It will be a joyous reunion.

You can bet that your beloved boy is watching over you. What wonderful, happy memories you have of your awesome Dusty. Although he's our DOTD after his passing, please know that he brought smiles to us. The pain of losing him will always be with you, but know that Dusty is now in a better place and suffering no more.
