Pasado Safe Haven stayed on in New Orleans, even with the threat of Rita, with more flooding. They had the only shelter still open for new rescue animals... and are still finding animals alive, now almost a month later. As you can imagine, they are also finding scenes of horror.. that we can only imagine. Just still being able to find "some" animals alive after almost a month are what keeps them going.
Please read their updates daily at: http://www.pasadosafehaven.org/NEWS/NEWS.htm
Even just a simple letter/card of support to the rescuers there would mean the world to them! If you can help by donating a hot dinner to the rescuers, or funds towards supplies.. all help is so welcome & needed!
God bless these "rescue angels" who have done everything they could to get to so many.... but there were so many that couldn't hold on for them. :(
