We're just back from the vet !

My baby did really well; no hissing or growling, just very scared.
The vet says she is fine! A little under-weight (2,6 kg), but we will take care of that . As Zazou is sneezing a lot, and has one "leaky" eye, she needs medicine for that. Her ears were very dirty, but that is it! Good hey!!
So now, I have extra chores to do 3 times per day: in eyes, in ears and in mouth. I have to administrate her a dose of "Frontline" tomorrow too, and some de-worming paste.
Lucky me, hey
She has an "umbilical rupture" (belly), but that will be removed in two weeks when she goes in for being fixed.

The vet has NO idea how old Zazou is. I thought 1 year old, but it might as well be 2, as her teeth say so! Oh well, who needs a birthday, hey ; we will note down her "gotcha day" as most important. I always find a reason to celebrate

ps. Oh my, since she is home from the vet, she is constantly shaking her head. Must be because of the "cleaning" , he he

oh Debbie, it is pronounced like you say: ZaZOO

Lut, I'm glad to hear that she did well at the vet and I'm sure that she'll gain weight and become much healthier in your care.:)

Zazou, after your first official vet visit we are very proud of you. A few days/weeks of medicines for a lifetime of love and hapiness. (not a bad trade, eh?) And not to worry, of all my kitties, I only have 1 official birthdate......the rest are speculation.

Oh yes! There is no evil in that little cat!! Even when Inka is there hissing at her, she doesn't react; just looks at Inka. She also loves to be taken up, and loves to cuddle in my arms!! Awwwww, this must be heaven ;) :)

I'm glad to hear that everything is all right for Zazou, and that she behaved very well to the vet!

Sweetie, many treats are waiting for you in your new house. Enjoy being extra-spoiled, you deserves it!

Kisses on your little nose, Zazou
:) :) :)

What a good girl you are, Zazou! I love the name. My cat rescue group had a cat named Zuzu, a huge calico.

Lut, I don't envy you with the medicating. My two are quite fierce when we start messing with them, but your Zazou sounds perfect! I like how you compare having her to "heaven". :) :)

I'm glad that Zazou's visit to the veterinarian went well, and it is really nice to see all the pictures - by all means: Keep'm coming! She is sooo pretty :) :) - and so are Maya and Inka..

But I still think there's something fishy about that shelter, you found! Even if mom cats do tend to be lean when they lactate, now you mention "sneezing", "leaky eye", "Frontline" and "deworming paste"..? Hm!

Well, maybe I'm just being overly suspicious - and after all there is really only one thing that counts now - which is THE FUTURE! Good luck with her! She certainly got lucky when she found YOU!
:)

Love,
Sus and Bella

The Frontline and deworming paste is just as a precaution. Better be sure than unhappy afterward!
Lots of the cats there were indeed sneezing, but the vet said it is normal when you put so many cats together. She only has a nose-cold,so this makes her eyes a bit leaky too. But otherwise she is healthy. Just a bit to skinny; but we will take care of that ;) :) . No fleas, no worms, no other illnesses :)
