We don't know if she did post this or not. There are many things that could have happened. Her mom's account had a password that was obvious to anyone that knew her so it could have been anyone. Don't judge too harshly. We don't know everything that happened or why.

well, assuming is last thing I would want to do, not until I know what really happened. "it's on internet so she lied." ..it's not just so fair for paula - :( how it'd be awful to have her come back and see all of these posts if it's true but if it's not true, we'll see what comes back for her. I'd rather keep it netural until I hear from her.

there could be many reasons.. I wonder if paula's mom made a thread and told paula, paula asked her to delete because of.. (to start one herself preferably?) -- or she got scared that someone were gonna visit her if her mother continues her thread and then provide out the detail information.. everything could be anything!

Paula spoke to me the other night, she said she had Karen close her account. She was hurt by all the comments about Lexi, I guess. I don't know what really happened, I never saw the thread about her being in the hospital, I don't think we'll ever really know.

This whole thing is odd... first off, I agree with Michelle that we don't have the facts. From what I can tell from her past posts, she has "issues". Whether or not her parents really DID hit her, there's an issue: being hit by your parents, or making it up. Either way, she needs help, not criticism.

Secondly, I've never seen banned under any member's title before. She could have changed it manually like we all do. She might be feeling like she IS banned, whether or not Karen and Paul officially banned her. If I were feeling particuarly snippy today I might consider changing my own title to banned just to show how easily fooled everyone can be. Don't be fooled by appearances.

Wait til Karen steps in to clear the water. Until then, all this speculation only will hurt one member who obviously needs help.

I just have to say that I know Paula, Lexi, and Skye are real. I Have seen them three on webcam because Paula was showing me how Lexi did some tricks.

I am not to sure about all the stories though. I guess we will just have to wait and see. Paula if you are reading this. Please give us an update.

I have no doubt that Paula and Lexi/her rabbit are real...but I do feel very doubtful about the situation the other day. When her 'mom' posted, it just didn't seem right. Then it was deleted. Then her mom told Karen she didn't delete it. Meanwhile.....I PM'd LexiLover, and she told me she and her mom were in Montreal, and not even around, and she didn't know what was going on. BUT..her 'mom' told Karen she didn't delete it. So......if her mom was in Montreal, how did her mom PM Karen? It just wasn't adding up. Everything seemed odd and fake....like a bunch of lies trying to cover up previous lies. I told her in my PM that if she was telling the truth, I would advise her to come to PT and post HER story, and clear things up. She never replied to me after that. This was before she was banned. Her not replying when I told her to clear things only further convinced me that the falling story was a pure lie. She was never at the hospital...she was answering PM's.

I did talk to Karen though PM's, but I would hope she will clear things herself. I don't want to post her PM's publically, as I don't feel its appropriate....so let's wait for Karen to let everyone know the whole story. I for one do believe Paula lied, but at the same time, I feel only an incredibly lonely/insecure person would do that.....and she would need true friends to guide her, rather than have the world turn their backs at her. Just how I feel. That being said, there is NO excuse to make up such lies and deceive people...ever. Sometimes young people feel the need to be accepted, and do weird things because of that. I wish that wasn't the case. I do feel she needs a good friend that can help her. That being said...trust is one thing that is very difficult to put back together again once its broken. I would forgive her, but if she truly DID lie, I would find it very difficult to trust her for a long, long time. I told her to come back and explain. She didn't.

And if someone really had something against Paula and wanted her out of here they could have done that. And once enough replies were made they deleted it making it appear that Paula had done it herself. I was talking to Paula as well and she told me the same thing as she told you PCB. She and her mom where busy all that day. If someone got into her mom's account then that someone also could have replied to Karen's PM. We don't know the facts. We connot condemn her without proof.

Karen would know...she can check what IP address the PM is coming from. I believe so anyway. I hope Karen will come and let us all know the details.

1. being what so many others believe and that is she lied.
2. someone in her home did it either due to jealousy,vengence, or just no wanting her involved in PT.

and I am sure there are other reasons or explainations too.

Yeah, same here.:( I just really wish I knew all the truth behind this...Paula SEEMED like a great friend, but if she was lying...I'm not so sure...

And also, if the user's name DOES say "Banned" it means their user-name is blocked off by Karen, and they can't use it any more...it's not that they put "banned."

Paula wants you all to know she IS really banned. She cannot reply as much as she may want to. She would also really like to speak her piece about all this but cannot due to the fact that she is banned and cannot post.

I shouldn't have publicly posted my suspicions, but honestly I was frustrated and I didn't do my normal "give it time and then reply" self-policy. I posted my opinion on the Country situation way back when she brought it up, that people were questioning it, and she decided to delete that post. All that did was make me feel more wary. I don't know of all the events she posted about which are true and which aren't. I want to believe things people post and to trust them. To be honest I felt hurt, confused, frustrated, but too afraid of hurting anyone to say anything for months. I really don't feel she was truthful in all her threads, especially about Chiquita and Country, and she always chose to ignore questions about those things rather than provide an explanation.

My intention was never to be cruel or to hurt her. She sent me a PM when I was gone for awhile, asking if I was okay, and I was touched by that. I feel she is a kind person but has some problems, I just am not sure of what nature. Honestly I was very saddened to see her banned. If she asked to be banned, perhaps she just felt she couldn't explain to everyone's satisfaction. I don't want to bash her and I only feel sad to see her bashed. So I guess I am just stuck in a mixture of frustration, confusion, sadness and even worry for her over all of this. I was aggravated when I posted, and I should have just written her with my questions, but I was afraid she'd not be truthful with me or that I'd just not be able to trust her answers.

Facts:

1. Paula has been banned from Pet Talk.

2. Before she was officially banned, she typed the word "banned" as her Custom user text.

3. Paula asked me to ban her.

4. Publicly speculating about whether anyone or anything is real is never wise nor kind. If in the future you wonder about the veracity of any posts, PM me with your concerns, please.

5. Someone was lying to me, personally, over the last few days. I will never know whether is was Paula herself, or some relative or friend or intruder who had access to her account, her mother's account, her home computer, and passwords.

6. Between the time "Paula" had typed "banned" as her custom user text, and when I actually instituted the ban, someone was using her account to do unwise things.

7. People can be banned from Pet Talk. We - this being Paul and I - do not like to do so, but we also do not take kindly our community's trust being violated.
