Dearest Hawkeye, we have someone like you at our house. His name is Archie, but he could just as well have been named Belly-Robber, cuz he's shameless where food is concerned. He'll hook at your fork to try to redirect it to HIS mouth, especially where roast chicken is the entree. He eats meals whenever he can get them, and would prefer chicken several times a day. He's also our smallest cat--I wish I had his metabolism, cuz he never gains weight.

He will take chips if there's no chicken available.

What a most lovely orangie you are Hawkeye! It sounds like you are true to your red roots - being a very friendly and lovable guy, I've never met an aloof or mean red kitty, always sweet! Hi there Hawkeye! What a treat it was to see your handsome, adorable face this evening!:) You're so sweet I think I can skip dessert!;) Wow, weren't your humans lucky to stumble upon you! I'll bet all of the drs., techs, clients and critters at the vet's miss you being their official mascot. Hopefully you get to return occasionally for visits! What a kind and caring vet to open up her/his heart and home to kitties in need. I'm so glad you found your way to her/him AND your furever family:) Now Hawkeye, when I read of your penchant for food, your keen ability to hear the fridge being opened, stealing sandwhiches off their plates, I thought for a moment your humans were talking about my Lab!;) A deli meat loving, chip eating kitty...now that's a first!:D

We salute today's Cat of the Day, The Hawk! You are a very handsome pussycat and what fabulous hearing you have. Nice that you and the other seven pussycats get along.

Our Sasha had no interest in sharing her Palace with any cat or any other pet. Sasha put her velvet paw firmly down once she was the sole pet at the Palace. She was the baby of our pet crew but sadly had her for only 10 years.

Sasha's veterinarian, Dr Evelyne Azuelos also takes in pets who need homes. Her heart, we think, is as big as the Milky Way. Sometimes a pet's human passes away or is in long-term hospital care. Other times a pet's human has a serious run of bad luck and yet other times it can be an allergy, or a move to another country. And many times, it is a rescued animal brought to the clinic for saving.

Murray and I salute veterinarians who have a heart and who work so hard to place pets -- no matter how they came to them.

Hawkeye, you are such a darling. What a lucky day for your humans when you joined the Palace. Celebrate with the seven other kitties -- live long, healthy, happy, always loved and cherished in your furever home. Give your humans our best for they are the best!

What a sweet and cute but naughty cat. The one time my cat was really bad he smacked a banana out of my hand (he loves bananas) and then he was mad I wouldn't let him go get it. I hope my cat never reads about the food stealing. I think I've convinced him he's not allowed to!
That photo captures his personality, and makes me want to pet his head (and guard my dinner!)
