I went kayaking yesterday afternoon on my favorite river, the M'Clintock. I had a lovely time and my new pogies worked great. (Pogies are a weird wrap around glove that keep your hands really warm even when the paddle shaft & water are freezing!)

The view from my seat.

It was cloudy most of the day, but the sun came out for a little while.

Some trees that have drowned. The bank is eroding in spots and the trees are slipping into the water.

This river is one of my favorite places on earth. It's always a little different every time I paddle it, but always has a sense of calm about it.

Heading back towards the truck. The fall colors were gorgeous!
I was hoping there would be some muskrats out playing, but they were no where to be found. Maybe next time I can get some pictures of them.
