I took Flutter to the adoption day today. Mind you, she went at 3:30 (it ends at 4:00) and she went just to go and make an appearance and *technically* be available for adoption. :p Meanwhile we all know very well that she already HAS a home ;)

We got there and a strange lady with wild pink hair took her.

She wasn't too thrilled with this strange lady (aka Jen Luckenbach ;) )

If looks could kill

So into the cage we went. She sat there and SHIVERED with fear the entire time. :(

She was NOT happy

And my heart broke to see this sad face....

so nope... Miss Flutter will not be going to any more adoption events. Its too stressful for her and her meowmie. Nope nope nope.

Nice excuse but no one is falling for that one. :p

So when are you signing those adoption papers?

I don't blame you! That face looked SO pitiful! I HATE what putting them in cages does to them!! Didn't you already admit you failed Fostering 101, so why you taking her there anyway? Poor baby!! HI JEN!! I see you!!!

Hi Jen:) Love how your pink hair matches your pink t-shirt.:D

I agree with Michelle Kim, tell us something we didn't know already. ;)

I'm glad you were brought back home, where you belong Flutter and don't have to go into that nasty cage again.

Flutter was really pitiful today. She did not like this idea at ALL!

And the problem is that Kim doesn't want to ADMIT failure (in the fostering department). ;) :p

I started to ask on the other thread that if Minette's getting adopted meant that Flutter would get to stay.:)

Kim did not fail fostering. She got an A++ in adopting! (That's what I tell myself every time a foster turns into a forever!)

Ah yes, the old "too stressful" excuse. Uh-huh. Nice try, Kim. Glad Flutter is staying with you. Couldn't have picked a better Meowmie.

Now Jen, what are YOU doing at a cat adoption????? CERTAINLY not looking to adopt yet ANOTHER cat, right????? ;) I should be the last one to talk about that! I'm assuming you went home with nothing more than a smile, right???

Hope you had a successful adoption day, Kim!

Madame Flutter By...we can all keep secrets around here. ;) My RB Bonnie was the same way. Terrified about adoption days, and week after week there was a public pity party for her. :( The final straw was the day a woman came in, saw my lovely girl with the crippled hind limb, burst into tears, wrote out a check to the shelter and left. Bonnie was my beautiful girl for nine years after, until....I won't get into it.:(

Sorry Kim, but I'm a bit confused here. I'm not sure if the secret is you took Flutter to the adoption place or that you're keeping her which has been no secret at all.

Tummy rubs being sent for you, sweet Flutter!

Hey Jen, so nice to see you!

How could you even think of letting that beautiful tabby go! :)

Will you stop dragging your baby to events like this? You know that Flutter is not leaving and according to PT folks, she BETTER NOT GO!!!

After all the adoptions you had today can't you just admit to one more foster failure? ;) Just one more? :D

Don't you worry Flutter, your not going to have to leave your buddy Harry. :) Mommy was just being silly today.:D

Aww, that poor little girl! Hasn't she been through enough already without you subjecting her to that nasty cage? Don't blame her a bit for looking sad. She doesn't want to leave her meowmie!

Nice try.;)

Flutter, it was only a bad joke of your mom. She'll never do that again;)
