Hey guys, I thought I might come here for support. You see, meowmie dropped me off at the white coats the other day and didn't come back for a loooong time. I was happy to have my sisters with me (even though I pretend not to like them at home) The vet tattled on me playing with them in the cage.

Then the most horrible thing happened: they "fixed" me! I don't feel fixed at all. :( I feel mighty broken if you ask me! So broken that I made meowmie take me to the emergency vet this morning! YES I DID! Meowmie thought I had a UTI (whatever THAT is) because I kept straining to pee since she brought me home yesterday. But the vet said I was doing great (yeah right!) and that sometimes the soreness makes little ones like me feel like they have to pee because everything is so close in my tummy.

All I know is that I feel icky and want as much love and affection as anyone can give me. I slept wrapped around meowmie's head all night and gave her ears a purr massage. I think she liked it because she kept petting me.

Anyway, meowmie says I'm getting too wordy, and that I need to get to the pictures she took of me and my buddy Harry. Meowmie let me out of the cage and put me on the bed (you know I can't jump up there - my back spring is broke) and I cuddled up with Harry. Here I am making biscuits on his leg. Isn't he wonderful?

Here you can see my shaved tummy. What a big section of fur they took away! Now I can't get those wonderful belly rubs meowmie is so good at giving!

Anyway folks, I just wanted to pop in and say hi, and let you all know how icky I feel. I need all the well wishes I can get.

Purrs,
Flutter

Hey folks, catnaper here.... I slept not a wink last night for fear I'd bump the little sweetheart and hurt her boo boo. I just took a nap and feel *almost* human again! :p

Poor baby!!! That mean old meowmie taking you to get fixed when you weren't even broken!!!

It does sound like she's trying to make it up to you though. No sleep and rushing you back to the white coats just in case something was wrong. I think you've got a pretty good meowmie there sweetie. :)

Oh, and about those belly rubs, that sweet soft furrless belly is even better for rubbing!!! ;) I'm sure meowmie will give you lots of rubs and hugs and I hope she will deliver some from me too.

Kissies to you little one! :)

Catnapper I just posted that I now felt better about having to take my five soon (on your other thread) and now I foresee sleepless nights ahead of me!!!

Little Orphan Annie here, and I can TOTALLY relate! My meowmie must feel guilty about having me "fixed" on Wednesday, because she keeps holding me, and giving me scritchies, and telling me how "sorry" she is that she had to put me through that"! I didn't know I was broke, either.

I like your shaved tummy, though. Now I don't feel so all alone, because mine is all shaved like that, too. Meowmie says that I will never have to bring babies into this world that would take homes away from all the babies out there who aren't wanted and/or who don't already have good homes. I can't imagine what it would be like not to be wanted or not to have a good home. I don't remember anything like that happening to me ever. But I sure am glad that I won't be responsible for that happening to any other little babies!

OK, Flutter, just be really, really loving and cuddly to your meowmie, and she'll give you LOTS of extra loving, and scritchies, and belly rubs on that soft, fluffy tummy! Maybe she'll give you an extra treat or two, also. I think it was all worth it now that I'm feeling better!

Love,

Little Orphan Annie

Poor little girl! Don't worry little one, you will soon be feeling much better and your fur WILL grow back in so that you will get lots of belly rubs.

Your meowmie did what is best for you; I know it's not any fun now, but you will be healthier and happier for it!

Lots of scritches and gentle head-bumpies to you!

Flutter, at least now you won't be having any pesky kittens to ruin your cuddle time with Harry. Pretty soon you'll be back to "good." Just "fake" it for a while and Meowmie will give you plenty of treats. ;)

Well, she has certainly been playing up the pathetic and sad routine. and meowmie's been right there comforting her. As well as those sisters of hers! Elfie is just as guilty as Flutter requesting love. Ever try drawing with one cat pushing your drawing hand, and another sitting on your lap? Needless to say, I've gotten NO work done today because of these girls! Not that I was inspired to do any anyway ;)

When I was at the vet this morning, the vet (who is a saint by the way) asked me if I was just a foster mom or planning to adopt her myself. Hmm.... good question! I guess he saw more than just foster-motherly concern for Flutter and saw someone who genuinely loves her through and through. But the good news is that he's very concerned about her little stump and wants me to watch her a little longer to be sure that she doesn't need the surgery. So, I guess that means she gets to be a foster a little longer while we make sure that leg won't need to be amputated. ;)

So sorry that you feel icky, Flutter. Of course I'm sending you lots and lots of feel better head scritchies and lovebug! And don't worry about your beautiful fur, your tummy still says "rub me" but we'll wait until your tummy isn't sore anymore. Feel better purrs and headbumpies from your kitty pal, Groucho too.....

Awww, poor little Flutter. I'm sorry you feel so icky but you just milk it for all it's worth. Knowing how crazy your meowmie is about you I'd say that is a whole lot!

Lori, you took the words right out of my mouth. I was also going to suggest that Flutter milk it for all its worth. :D

I am so sorry to hear that you are feeling icky Flutter, but don't worry sweetheart, you will be feeling better very soon, but don't let meomie know that just yet, okay. ;)

Gentle hugs and kisses to you sweetie.
