It was two years ago today, that a 6 week old kitten that we adopted, died of distemper. I found Sylvia when I was bringing supplies to the shelter. There in a cage with 2 other little kittens, was this long haired gray tabby with with white eyeliner and white mittens. I scooped her out of the carrier and asked if she would like to come home with me, she snuggled. The I asked if she would like to be a therapy cat, and she began to purr up a storm! I told them I would be back tomorrow for her( I had to prepare my husband and the other 9 cats for her arrival). To make a very long story short, Sylvia visited the vet on Friday(9/12), and the vet thought her gums were a bit pale and drew some blood. I brought her home and after the older cats were fed, I went to feed Sylvia. She had collapsed. I drove to the vet and there Sylvia got oxygen and a blood transfusion. I brought her home, and stayed with her and watched her. At 10:10pm, she stopped breathing. This sweet little creature lived with us only 2 days, but left a big hole in our hearts. RIP in peace sweet little one. We keep you in our hearts always!!!! Sandra
