I went hiking with Fenway today and stopped at the Conway Humane Society up North. They were on t.v. a couple of nights ago because they rescued a TON of dogs from Hurricane Katrina. One of the dogs looked like Fenway so I wanted to check him out.

Well, 98% of the dogs have already been adopted! There were hardly any dogs left (including the Fenway look-a-like).

In fact, the Conway Humane Society is going back down to get more dogs and a bunch of cats. I guess somebody is giving them the use of a bus and somebody is paying for gas so they leave next week.

Now, the thing I was thinking as I was driving home was what if somebody is looking for their dog but its been rescued, sent up to NH and adopted out? Do you think they keep track of each dog in case the owner should come forward looking for their pet after they get settled? I should have asked but didn't think of it until I was 1/2 way home.
