I need everyone to read this. There is a serious Sphynx going on in Ohio. A small cattery has been shut down because the owner lost her job, her home and everything she owns. A friend of mine who I met at a cat show emailed me and said this is urgent.

Here's the link. If you have ANY way of either fostering or adopting one of these precious babies, please, help these guys out.

www.sphynxrescue.com Once you get into the site, click on available Sphynxes.

I've already got my application in for girlfriend for MooShoo, even if it's only to foster. Yeah, yeah, I know I said no more fostering. But how could I resist???

If you can help out, please email Brenda at [email protected]. The cats won't be in Ohio until next week (transport is being planned).

I'm going to crosss-post in Cat General as well.

Thanks guys!!!

I've got an update on the Sphynx rescue. I spoke with Brenda this morning. They will be arriving in Ohio on the 24th of September. She said she's found a Sphynx breeder right in her area (15 minutes away) that is willing to foster half of the cats till permanent homes can be found. She thanked me for offering to foster them, but she said it made more sense to have them fostered closer.

She told me that the cats are doing okay except for a few with URI's. While they are in Ohio, they'll be spayed/neutered, tested and vaccinated and also microchipped.

She has 2 volunteers that are going through the PILE of applications (so far they've received over 50!!). They're looking for people who either already have a sphynx or are very knowledgeable of the breed. She said her first priority other than the cats, is finding them PERMANENT furrrever homes with people that know all about Sphynxes and their needs.

So, I'll keep you guys posted if my Moo man gets a girlfriend. Brenda suggested a sweet little blind tortie named Torie. But, it also depends whether or not I am approved, and then I have to drive to Ohio (close to PA) when she's read. But again, it all depends on whether I'm approved or not.

Stay tuned!!
