Now let me tell you about Peggy, the little calico girl that came to live with my mom and her fiancé, Reinhold, in June this year, and who immediately stole my heart. :)
I've posted about her before, and about my concerns regarding Reinhold, who has been a bit rude to my Lily girl in the past.
Well, the good thing is that Reinhold, like my mom, fell in love with the little girl. He would never admit it, but he really cares for her and makes sure that she's safe. She's a very uncomplicated character, uses her litter box and is well-behaved, and she's learning quickly.
She's an indoor/outdoor cat. She enjoys the outdoors (and I have to admit it's nice to see her having fun out there, even though I still don't like the thought of her being exposed to all the dangers out there!).
Another thing that got me worried in the beginning were Dino and Rocky, their resident pets. While Dino, the cat, was extremely nasty in the beginning, they have now become pals. Since Peggy moved in, Dino refuses to enter the house, but every morning he's waiting for Peggy to come outside and play with him. Peggy, on the other hand, only seems to have fun outside when Dino is around. When he's not there, she soons walks back into the house.
With Rocky, the rottie, things are more complicated. So far, he has attacked her twice, which scared me to death. The first time, Peggy has jumped at him and hurt his ear with her claws, the second time she came too close to his food bowl. Those were scary incidents. Rocky is also very jealous and doesn't like it when anyone of us is approaching Peggy when she's around. But a part of him seems to accept her, as he's allowing her to sleep on his blanket or drink from his water.
Now here are some pictures of Peggy; in which you can see how she has grown already:
