I have read many websites saying *Never ride a horse alone*. I know it's probably the best thing to do but If I ever did get a horse, I have no friends that even ride horses. I know I could make friends at a boarding stable but that might take a while and I would have to ride the horse before that. Is it ok to atleast ride a horse alone while in an arena wearing a helmet?

There is always a risk of something bad happening, with or without people present. It is a very good idea to have some one come with you when you go out riding, however that is not always possible. You can get a cell phone and keep it with you while you ride, if you happened to get injured or need help you could call. It is alright to ride a horse alone in an arena, it is a lot safer- the horse cannot run away, someone is bound to see you or get to you.

i ride into the feilds on my own and stuff and in the arena's i think if you have enough confidence then ya you can ride alone but i suggest it only for experienced riders if your only a beginer then no dont go off on your own

i agree with desert arabian. riding with someone else is not always possble, so i would suggest taking a cell phone.
