I was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of a good, informative website about the Pagan "religion". I've heard many good things about Pagan beliefs and would like to read more about it, if possible.

CathyBogart is Pagan I believe. Kimmy (Ramanth) is, too.
Here's a thread where she briefly discussed it, i'm sure she could probably explain it further.

I'm pagan. I'll have to look up my favorites later as I'm on a different computer.

Here's an excellent news/networking site for the Pagan online community:

Witchvox (http://www.witchvox.com/)

The best thing to do is to stop by a local metaphysical bookstore. You can find plenty of reading material on the various branches of Paganism (there are a bunch of 'em), and the bookstore will most likely sponsor classes and/or be able to put you in touch with a teacher or group.

I am a Pagan... There are lots of different ways or religions within paganism. There is a wonderful book by Margot Addler titled Drawing Down the Moon that describes many of the different groups and philosophies.

Enjoy learning and good luck on whatever path you choose.

Yep, what Kay said. :) In the thread she linked too, my response is on page 3.

The only thing that differs now is that I no longer belong to a coven. We peacefully disbanded. We just prefered solitary practice but we still get together now and then. :)

Thanks for the information. Wow, there's a lot to learn! I still haven't figured out how to get started yet. ;)

Wow, looking back over my answers I realize that I've changed a LOT since then! I'll have more time in a little while to write more and hopefully dig up some good links for you.

As far as 'getting started'....I went to the library and read everything I could get my hands on about Wicca, Druidism, Shamanism, everything. I also went online and read through good websites and bad. Eventually I felt confident enough to start doing things on my own.

For me, it took about three years, but I was in a difficult situation with parents who were convinced it was a "phase" to be squashed out. Otherwise, I probably could have started a lot sooner.

I read everything you and the others wrote and it just feels right, you know? I've never considered myself to be of any religion and have always questioned whether God exists.

This feels like where I'm supposed to be in my life right now...although I'm still reading up on it. ;)

I find that many people who realize they are Pagan have done a lot of learning to discover this. Must be why a lot of the scientists I know are Pagans.
