Well I was just going to type this whole thread out with happy news about my new wonderful kitty Strawberry, and then I heard a "mew" and I went running into the room. She jumped on top of the rat cage and was bitten by one of my boys. It seems like it always takes them once, and it's always in the paw. I am already a nervous wreck tonight and just seeing her bleeding made me want to cry. :( Today at work I had to euthanize one of my rescue rats as it had a very large inoperable tumor. I cried for a great deal afterwards, and it was on my lunch break. I'm a little sensitive.
I cleaned the bite with some Chlorhexydine flush and applied some Vetroplocin on it as it's the only antibiotic ointment I have on hand right now. Tomorrow I will take her into work just to make sure everything is OK. I have a bandaid on it covered with some brown tape, LOL, but she isn't minding it much and it's doing the job. I cannot for the life of me find my vet wrap. So please say a prayer she isn't too uncomfortable. I love this little girl to pieces. She reminds me so much of my Lucky (that's how I got my user name) as she is very loving, loves giving kisses, and is very cuddly. She's my little lovebot. BTW, she's a Bengal Siamese mix. :)
Here are some photos of her. I don't know why I named her strawberry... probably because I thought the color pink/red would look good on her. :)
Showing off her pretty eyes.

Modeling her new puppy collar, as her neck was too small for a kitten collar. Plus, the puppy collars are so much cuter! :D
