GRANT!! Yes, I have added a new furkid to the family. The original thread about his story is here. (http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?s=&threadid=86722/) I have been meaning to make his intro thread for a few days but work had me held up and my camera batteries needed to charge. Well without further ado, let me introduce Grant. He's a blue merle ACD and he's 1 1/2. Ok on with the pics.....

Playing with the girls. He and Sadie chase each other around while Maggie is the ref and barks as they go by. I think she knows better than to get in the mess as he will run her over. He tries to herd her in the yard. :eek:

He gnaws on me to play but we are trying to break that habit as he's got some big teeth and a big mouth so he doesn't need to be biting or gnawing on anyone.

My most beautiful, gentle and loving Sadie Anne. She will always be my baby. She was my first dog and she is my heart. I love the rest of them just as much, but she is special.

And my Maggie May, the world's fiercest squirrel hunter. :) At least she thinks she is and that's all that matters. :D She is much more loving than when we first got her, she loves for me to carry her around and cuddle her.

Amber, Grant is just wonderful! What a handsome baby boy. Like I told you on AIM he looks sooooo puppyish! Him and Ki would love eachother. We really need to get them together. They could help eachother get over their fears. ;)

I hope everything runs smoothly with him and the girl, which by the way are as precious as ever. :)

Sadie is such a sweetheart and Maggie sounds like such a personaility.

Welcome to Pet Talk, Grant! He is such a handsome boy!! He has pretty eyes too, love his coloring. I'm glad he's been fitting in well with your family. Thanks for the photos, it's great to see Sadie and Maggie again too, what cuties. I didn't realize Sadie was that much bigger than Maggie!

Grant and I thank you Amy. LOL...Sadie weighs 3 times as much as Maggie. So Grant and Maggie....you can imagine what they look like next to each other. :eek:

OMGzz... this picture says a million words of how he feels about his new home. I'm so proud of you guys, Maggie and Sadie too! This really made my day, it's such a nice success story about how good any pup can be with the right love and training.

Grant is SO handsome! If I lived anywhere near Florida I would be harassing you guys constantly about meeting the little man :p he is one of the cutest ACD's I've ever seen!! His facial markings are adorable, and he's soooo cute and stocky xD... *steals*. Great job with Grant-y, I can't wait to see more pics of him and his sisters playing, I'm sure they'll only love eachother more and more every day :D

hrm... I also see him with that ball. I think we have a future Flyball/Agility dog!!! ;)... oh and, for the chewing, bitter apple or tabasco sauce and screeching when the behavior starts should help fix that. Teach him bite inhibition by holding treats between your fingers with only a little bit of the treat sticking out... he can gently lick or chew on only the treat, if he nips your fingers you screech and the treat goes away and doesn't come back for a few minutes. That helped Gonzo a LOT! Herding pups are generally super-sensitive and just want to make you happy :) also, once he gets good at that, playing tug with ropes and plushies and every once in a while sliding your hand near his mouth will help with bite inhibition. you probably already know this.... just tips ^.^. I'm really happy with all that you've done for this boy! oh yeah...

Thank you so much everyone!!! It is a FULL house for sure now. It's very busy. And I always have 3 pups following me around wherever I go, LOL. Karen, Maggie says she would be excited for Logan to come over and help chase squirrels. Erica, thanks as always for the great advice. I will try the treat tip because he does like to grab my hand for a treat and he's not to gentle so I'll have to break him of that. I will keep everyone updated. The kids and me thank everyone again for the nice comments. :)
