we just got back from the park and my rabit roxy was in my arms just being laid back resting and then we went over to go see a cat and we were petting it , he didnt even see ro y but he went to go snuggle up to me and he didnt do anyt ng when all of a sudden she just flipped she started g ng crazy and got out of my arms then she was going so crazy she got her collar off and so i coulnd get her and she was running everywhere and just g n crazy i couldnt catch her i thought for sure she was gonna get away or get run over by a car me and my freind were trying to get her and we couldnt her tail was high in the air and she was thumping and every thing finally i grabbed her ears and got a hold of her and i picked her up and her h.eart wasnt even beating fast it was so weird
but i looked all over and no sign of any cuts so its not like the cat bit her
dose anyone know why the heck she did this like is she gonna have a heart attack or something?

I know that rabbits, being prey animals, have like an instinct to panic. Rabbits can actually have heart attacks.
She probably suddenly noticed the cat and thought "predator" and panicked.
I hope there is nothing wrong with her though. Try to keep her calm.

maybe the cat did that needing thing & accidently clawed her?
My old bunny use to go for walks in the park with my dog. My dog wouldn't let any other dog near her. He somehow knew when she was scared, cause he would get agressive, fur up, standing over top of her. to me it was funny & i knew she was safe, just incase I didn't notice a loose dog. She also seemed more calm when I walked her with my dog, maybe she knew Max would protect her.

i think wolfie is right. rabbits are prey animals, and they have natural instincts to run away if they smell or see a predator.

maybe a bee stong him or an ant bit him?
My bunny was a dwarf rabbit & with the dog barking or snarling, never scared her. I don't know how many times Max nearly trampled the bunny & she never moved. I think if the bunny is use to other pets in the house its more, unlikely that pet causeing fear in it.
Was there another animal around.. oh! what a bird??
Crows & Seaguls scared the doo doo out of my bunny.

It's obvious something spooked her what that is well I guess only she knows. It could have been the kitty it could have been a bug or a sound even.

Temp. LOVED to get bathed by Hollie. He would hop over to Hollie & lay inbetween her paws & wait for his bath. He was a silly bunny.
