Over the last week Jasper (hes 6 months old now) has been trying to get outside. We really wanted him to be a strictly indoors cat. If we aren't careful hes trys sneaking out of the door, he has gotten out a couple of times but hasn't made it off the porch. We could never stop Lucky from wanting outside and she was miserable in the house, she now usually spends most of the day out and comes in for food and a nap and is usually in all night. How can we keep our little man in the house?

I can't remember this but is Jasper neutered yet? If not that would be a good start. It will calm him down and hopefully ease that urge to go out. I would also suggest maybe taking him for walks. Harness and leash him and take him out for a walk and to explore. It worked for my RB Mytsi. She was very demanding with wanting out and used to escape but once I started taking her out she was ok with having her walks on her leash and didn't try to escape any longer.

Yup, hes neutered...I do have a harness for him, I could take him out for walks. I thought if he got to go on walks and be outdoors he might want out more but I could start doing that! He was born outside and spent his first 8 weeks outside and we really want to keep him in. Thanks for the advice guys!
