It seems that I was wrong:

Alpine Lynx will come in one color only - solid white. Alpine Lynx may be curled eared or straight eared, but curled ears are preferred. They may be long or short haired, but long hair is preferred. Polydactyl feet are preferred.

So this would be one:

Since German is my mother tongue, I could read the page. :-)
Bohemian Rexes were a mutation of Persians with curly hair, no hybrids. Later one cornish Rex queen was crossed in to make the breed shorthaired.

My next empty entry is Brazilian Shorthair. Hope you can find something...

So was that a Bohemian Rex?

This one was a lot easier than the others you've given me lately. :D

Brazilian Shorthair:

I'd like an American Keuda next, please.

@DallasRechelle: Where do you always get the latest news about Barbaro? Do you know him personally?

Xaja, here are a few pics of Barbaro, he seems to be in good spirits judging by this first picture. I put them as attachments since they are so huge!

He definitely has been getting a lot of presents.

Is it alright if I add you to my Yahoo Messenger list?

Great pics!

An american Keuda for you:

http://www.hercurian.com/keuda/images/americ1.jpg

And another difficult one: Burmalayan, Himbur, Iranese, Layanese, Silkanese, Tibetane, Tonkalayan, Minx Persian. Seems to be the same breed!

Yes, it's ok if you add me, but I won't be online the next few days.

Himbur

Himbur:

That American Keudo is gorgeous! :)

How about a nice Cotton Snowshoe?

No problem, it's a long weekend here so we've been out today and might go out tomorrow too. Basically I've been enjoying sleeping in. :D

Barbaro is a gorgeous horse. I think someone forgot to tell him that his injuries were life threatening. He sure seems to be bouncing back from them beautifully. Here's the site that I got them from:
http://www.upenn.edu/vet/newsandevents/news/BarbaroPhotos.htm

They have x-rays of the leg before & after surgery. A week later and it's still just so unbelievable. I mean we were watching the race and saw it happen, but it just is so .... unbelievable.

Xaja
05-28-2006, 05:04 PM
I'm sorry I couldn't find any pic of a Cotton Snowshoe, and on google there are only 2 entries at all to this breed. That's the messybeast-text:

"Similar to a semi-longhaired Snowshoe variant with minimal white markings on the face and feet. Long, silky, thick coat; thick mane, bushy tail. Old-type Siamese-style face. Developed using a snowshoe Siamese (Siamese with white toes/feet, considered a fault in the Siamese breed). Not related to the recognised Snowshoe breed. Exceptionally affectionate personality."

But no pic... :(

Well, I'll post another one of my own cat:

Can you possibly find a "Burmanx"?

I found *one* website with a picture of a Burmanx, but I couldn't copy the link to the picture, so I'll just post the website.

http://www.allemaalkatten.nl/rassen/burmanx.html

I think it's in German again, but this time I definitely know this is a Burmanx, very pretty cat! Wish I could've found a picture to post here .... :( All the websites that mention the Burmanx, except that one, say that a photo is needed.

Ok, how about a Honeybear next please?

Xaja

Cute cat! They blocked that image to being downloaded and copied. But never mind, I saw it. That website is netherlands, you can see it in the .nl in the adress. I don't understand that language.

Here's a cute Honeybear, I like the silver shaded color.

But I actually don't believe that story about skunk genes in the breed.

Xaja

Oups! What you put there is a Tiffanie, mainly bred in Australia and Great Britain. The breed is often confused with the Chantilly-Tiffany.
That's a Chantilly-Tiffany:

http://www.petsalley.com/photos/cats/chantilly.jpg

And a Cape Breton Bobtail:

Thanks, that Cape Breton Bobtail was *cute*!

Are you sure? The site I got that picture from stated that it was a Chantilly/Tiffany.

I can't find any pictures of a Cloud. My site states that they are Experimental, which may be why I can't find them. :(

Xaja

Yes, I'm pretty sure this is a Tiffanie. The Cape Breton was already there, but never mind. :-)

You didn't ask for a new breed, so I'll post the next one. There are lots of breed names in the net with no pics behind, you know.

I'd like to see a Coupari, please.

Oh I didn't tell you ... Remember me mentioning Fancy, the injured pregnant stray? Well, she had kittens a few weeks back. Last Sunday, my husband & I were going to a movie, opened the door and there was a 2 week old gray & white tuxedo kitten. We brought her in, after realizing Fancy wasn't caring for her. Well, Wednesday I came home for lunch and there were 2 more 2 week old kittens, a black & white kitten and a solid black kitten. Again, after realizing Fancy wasn't caring for them, we brought them in. I figured that was all her litter, since I didn't think she had more than 3 and honestly was surprised by 3. Welllll ..... today I came home for lunch again, and lo & behold, on my doorstep is a *fourth* kitten, this time solid gray. Once again, after realizing that Fancy wasn't caring for him, brought him in. So now I'm nursing 4 kittens. Stormy, my one year old Manx cat, is playing mother to them. He's my gentle giant. He's helping them go to the bathroom, playing gently with them, cleaning them, etc.

I've got a full house here .... 5 adult cats (4 of whom are upset) plus the 4 furbabies. They are so cute! Hubby has already given in on keeping one of them. Mischief will be going to a new home, she is just too unhappy here, she doesn't like other animals and doesn't like sharing the attention. After many tears and uncertain moments, we're going to place her with a friend of mine, who is home 24/7 on disability and has no kids or other pets. She'll be much *much* happier there.

I'd like to see a Don Hairless, if you can find one.

I'm glad your kittens are well. Hope you find good homes for them... My cat has become extremely affecionate. She wouldn't leave me for a single moment and when I'm in school she sits before the door of my room and cries. She's only happy when she's carried around or lying in my bed with me. Just I can't do that all the time...

I don't like the hairless breeds, never really have. I love the feeling of cat fur too much. :)

The babies are definitely doing well. So far, there haven't been any more dropped at the doorstep. Hopefully we have them all now.

Can I see a Thai Lilac next, please?

Xaja

Oh, I don't like the hairlesses either, but I must admit I have never touched one. Maybe I'd change mind...

See I don't think I could touch one, just the feel of skin would remind me too much of killing chickens on the farm when I was growing up. <shudder>

Oh, that race horse, Barbaro, is doing great. It looks like he'll make a full recovery, but of course, it is still too soon.

I'll try to post pictures of the kittens tonight. They are SOOO cute!!

Can I see a Mandalay next, please?

OH, how long are you gone on vacation for?

Xaja
06-13-2006, 03:16 PM
I'm glad to hear that Barbaro is doing well. And your kittens too. Try to post their pics!
I'm going on vacation till October 17, so four months. And very soon... I'm excited, but also a little worried. It'll be a total shock to live in a slum...
You had to kill chickens? Poor you! We breed rabbits and my father usually kills them. I can't watch that... Today a fox stole one of our rabbits. It's so mean, he broke in a quite safe cage that was very close to our house. It's a bad year for us, we've lost so many animals. :( That one I miss most:

I am hoping to get some pics tonight of the darlings. They are soooo precious. And all sound asleep right now, so it's peaceful. LOL

Foreign White:

Yeah I hated the killing chickens part of the farm. We had cattle & horses also, which I loved. I showed cattle for about 14 years until my allergies got too bad. :(

How about a Manxilla next?

Anyway tomorroy I'm leaving. Wish you a great summer and hopefully see you again!

You won't find a real photo of one yet since there isn't one that has been born hairless yet. First generation is coated. It's not until both parents are hairless carriers that they can produce a hairless kitten. The curled ears are easier since that is a dominant mutation and only one parent has to have it to pass it on.

My friend and I co-own a male first generation dwelf, but since he hasn't yet begun to breed, we still don't have one that meets standard to share with the world.

Hello Everyone;

I would like to know what kind of breed is my cat Midway? I think she is an Egyptian Mau, but I am not sure. I have some photos of her attached. My other cat is Nimitz. He is a Domestic American Shorthair I think. His photos are attached as well.

I was a little confused about the highlander thing too. When I typed it into a search engine, it came up with that Highland Fold. I'd never heard of a 'highlander' cat and presumed that you meant a Highland Fold. LOL we've confused ourselves!  :p

Please go to http://www.highlanderbreeders.com/ to see the real deal <g> It's the breed site and has a lot of pictures and info about the highlander breed - a truly unique and special breed!!
