Most of you will remember that Filou is a sick kitty- having chronical renal failure.

We found his bloodwork was not ok in April and although he is getting weekly sub-Q fluids the urea and creatinine level became worse- ok still in an early stage but of course I was worried sick.

Now today for the first time both levels have improved:D

Two things may have influenced it.

He got some homeopathic pills 4 weeks ago (after we had been seeing a homeopathic vet who examined him and all his behavioir for 2,5 hrs!!!!)

And we finally found the renal food he likes, which is Royal Canin Renal. He is crazy especially for their dry food.

When Siegmar took him in today for bloodwork I thought it can't be very bad- because he had been so active the last days (1 hour active moth catching on the balcony Saturday night at midnight:D :D :D ) but when he called me it really made my day.

Thanks to all who helped thinking of him- it looks as if the time that we need these thoughts may be a longer one;)

This news is great. I hope he keeps up the good health. He is such a love and needs to be around for a long, long time.

Oh Barbara that is fantastic news! I have been thinking of Filou such a lot (Alec also regularly asks after him). I am so pleased to hear this update!

Please give him a big hug from me in the shower tonight! ;)

Barbara, this is great news! :D I'm sure you have been taking extra special care of Filou lately, and the homeopathic medicine also helped. So glad you found some food he likes too. :)

He has been quite active lately, hasn't he? Filou will around for a long time yet! :)

Give him kisses from me, and headbumpies from Fister (the demanding boy). ;)

Excellent!!!!! This is a happy day all around! I've been missing posts because of going back and forth to the vet so much myself but I'm glad to read the good news now.
