our dog is

weird

hah

he'll go out and poop like a good little doggie, unless its raining

he WILL NOT leave our patio! it is uncovered, and not very big, but he won't leave it to go pee/poo!

he woke us up last night at like 3am wanting/needing/HAVING TO go out.

my b/f who let him out told me that he just stood on the porch.

smokey: i have to poop and i can't hold it!
us: ok lets go out
josh: lets him out
smokey (seeing the rain): i can hold it.

lmao

downside is, since he didn't poop that time, and when josh let him out in the morning before he went to work, he ends up going on our rug.

so, i'm not necessarily asking for help, i'm more wanting to let everyone know what a WEIRDO our doggie is!

hahaa

My two dogs don't like a pouring rain, but will go out to do
their business if I go with them. Just grab an umbrella & go out
with them. I only had to do this a few times & then they were
o k with going out themselves. It sure beats cleaning up a mess
later on.:)

My RB girl, Peaches would not go out in the pouring rain either. Just in case you are interested, a medium-sized poodle/spitz can hold everything in for 19 hours, but then no matter what it is doing outside (on this occasion 33 inches of snow), she has to go out. :D

Luvin Labs,

I have a dog who will not go out in the rain, either (even drizzle). She will simply sit on the porch if I let her out, and if I take her out myself in the yard with a leash she will just looked pained but refuses to potty.
The one thing that I do to get her to go is by taking her on a short walk. For some reason, her love of walks is so great that she forgets all about the rain and will go potty.
So there are plenty of other strange dogs out there too!

I've got one worse than that. Cessa won't even walk in grass that has heavy dew on it. She won't go outside in the rain except on the patio. She absolutely hates getting her feet wet!!! If it has stopped raining/drizzling, I have to stand there with the door open and show her and she still doesn't believe me. She takes one look at the wetness and skidaddles. She will hold it for hours if she thinks her precious paws are going to get wet. Don't even mention the bath tub, that's a whole different conversation!!!
