Prince, although you are a Thoroughbred, you remind me of a Foxtrotter I owned before Rozye, a year ago.Her name was Daisy May, and she had a body and face like yours, but was shorter, I'm sure! But I know all to well what can happen to racehorses, and it is, unfortunately, a common series of problems and abuse. Happy for you, you are with a loving owner now you handsome boy!

Prince, my boy, bless your Mom for rescuing you when she did. You are one lucky horse!

Years ago, before I got hurt, my girlfriend and I used to go the track and buy the "throwaways" that didn't make it. We'd bring them home, vaccinate and worm and trim feet, then turn them out till they turned into horses again. Sometimes, it took as long as a year for a horse to recover, but we had the land and time, and we were patient. Then we started them from scratch, and worked with them till they were ready to go on to new homes. We did that for many years, and we had the reputation for putting a good mouth on our horses (that was my job!) and for the horses being sane and safe.

I can guarantee you, Mr. Prince, that you "died and went to heaven" the day your Mom rescued you! Bless your heart, big guy! Bags and bags of carrots to you! :D

Oh my Prince, what a handsome boy you are. I am so glad that your humane got to take you home and now you are living the good life. I'm Princie's mommy. He really is a treasure. We'll be moving to our own place this year, and he'll be able to come live with me again and hopefully, we'll find a couple of needy buddies for him, maybe a couple of Premarin babies or something.

He's really a dear sweetie, and a very treasured member of the family.
