What beautiful dogs. I'm sorry to hear that Denver passed on. :(

I don't see basenjis often, they aren't very common around here. I am a dog groomer and have yet to see one come into the shop, though we might have some basenji cutomers and just not know it yet -- I've only been working there a few months. They sure are gorgeous little fellas though. Welcome to PT!

Hi! I'm sorry hearing about your loss (Denver)! He was so beautiful and look so dignified... :(

I don't have any Basenji but is one breed that I like very much! I'm in Portugal and I don't see much basenjis here (in deed I never see anyone!) but as I only have two cats and no dogs I'm not well informed about dog Breeders in Portugal.

I hope that your new basenji give you so must friendship & joy as Denver! :)

Stay well

I know that Trevor (Oggyflute) has a basenji named Possum.

I adore basenji's myself! They are so cute and happy! I don't have one right now though.

We had 2 Basenji's when I was a kid, at 2 different times. They are awesome dogs! Except when they bolt out of the house! lol

My current dog plays with 2 Basenji's every weekend. I miss the yodelling the most!!!

OHH i know exactly what your talkin about i just had Phoenix do that a few days ago He almost gave me a heart attack :(
Now i put up a baby gate in the front door until he learns to listen and wait alittle he's getting better but it's going to be LOTS of work :)
Denver went through that too but he learned pretty quick and was great after a few days
Although the breed is very stuborn i LOVE this breed i think there so much diffent from others and i love there little attutude that they get :D

Sometimes i'm kickin myself when he pushes me to the brink but he makes me laugh so i'm laughing more then i'm kickin myself so i think that's a good trade off :D

Oh, they make you laugh that's for sure. And, they have very good memories too!

The Basenji we had the longest was Congo. What a character she was. I was always the one the could really get her yodelling like crazy. Whenever I would come home from school, she would start yodelling. One time, our neighbour was having the outside of their house painted. Apparently, when I came home and Congo started yodelling, the painter nearly fell off his ladder, haha!!
